Within minutes, Ross Greenberg, the head of HBO Sports said he had spoken to Richard Shaefer of Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Mayweather.

“Richard told me point blank, Bob Arum will be getting that call Monday,â€￾ Greenberg said. “He plans on meeting next week with Bob to make the Mayweather fight.â€￾

To make the fight even more exciting and historic (as if it's not all of these things already), the fight should happen at 154, for a junior-middleweight title, to give Manny the opportunity to become the world champion across 8 weight divisions.

Let the pricing yourself out of the fight begin. Floyd probably couldn't even sleep last night.

Hell no, to make it exciting and historic it should be at a weight both men are at their best at. 144 or 145 would be preferable. Boxing is ultimately about FIGHTS not historical oddities

I'll be the first to say no, it's Pacman who is going to prove he is the best fighter of his generation bar none, after winning a clear decision over Floyd.

Not only the best fighter of his generation, but the best fighter since Duran.

I think Floyd should train in the Philippines so he could make use of the countries wonderful steroid supply too...

That I would love to see, but I think it's unlikely.

I have no doubt Pacman is going to put the hurt on Floyd, but Floyd will bitch up and get on his bike like Cotto, and run away. The difference is Floyd is harder to hit, so it'll be harder for Manny to force a stoppage.

Of course, Manny might actually KO him, but I think Floyd has a decent chin.

So Manny by clear decision is my pick.

Floyd is going to ask for 65% of the purse and price himself out until he realizes that a 50% purse is going to be $25 million.

Even if he beats Pacman, he has not had the career Pacman has had. It will be a good win, but Pacman will have had a vastly superior career.Floyd will need a few more fights to prove that.

I will say it right now. If Pac beats Floyd Mayweather, he, in my eyes, will be the Greatest Boxer of All Time.

Yup...whatever the outcome of their fight....Pacquiao will always be greater than Mayweather.

Mayweather should've fought Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Williams, when he had the opportunity 2-3 years ago.

These Negotiations will MAKE or BREAK the Remainder of Floyd's Career...Manny Pacquiao is THE ONLY Fighter REED Wants to See Floyd Sharing a Boxing Ring w/...If he BULLSHITS the Boxing Public by NOT Fighting Pac (for WHATEVER Reason), Floyd will have Lost Any Remaining Credibility he Had...

Ultimately, The PPV Sales from Pac-Cotto will B the Determining Factor...Pac-Cotto would have to SHIT on the Sales of Mayweather-Marquez for Pac to RIGHTFULLY Expect 55%...

The Pressure IS On Floyd to Make this Fight Happen, but NOT to the Point of ALLOWING Pac to Make ABSURD Demands...Just Because Pac is More LIKABLE than Floyd DOESN'T Mean he DESERVES a Bigger Cut...

I'd accept Floyd not fighting Pac if he fights Mosley ( only if Mosley looks good vs Berto )
