IMO a tune-up is ok since Mayweather was out of the ring for long and Marquez fight offered little to him. That being said Mayweather is no longer the champion

 

Believe it or not I have no problem with this either. I think he should take a tuneup and Pacquiao is planning on taking a little break anyway.

Pacquiao should settle his marital problems now and make sure that shit is all over and done with by the time he hits his next training camp.

 

Mayweather's already wasted two years. He got his tune-up when he faced Marquez. A great fighter, but a lightweight.

His next opponent must be Pacquiao, or Mosley.

I suspect the link is just b.s. and Pacquiao and Mayweather will fight in the spring.

I doubt that. Maxboxing had a similar story a week earlier but I waited to hear more on it before I posted it. Although it isn't official yet it sounds just like Floyd to take another oppurtunity to "steal some more money" as he puts it, before he takes on a dangerous opponent.

 

Thing being - Floyd won't regard it as a tune up. he'll regard it as another 10m pay day & EVENT which needs to be promoted for 4 months and can't happen till late May or some crap.

If he had a genuine low key tune up in mid january or something and was ready to fight Pac in May I'd be all for it, but we all know that isn't gonna happen. More bitch tactics from Floyd, bottom line.

Pac fights every single guy out moves up about 3 classes further than was prudent to do so and he's a bitch because he doesn't smack talk or call people out in interviews. One of the most retarded statements I've ever read.

I think the only obvoius thing Pacquaio did was he didn't want a THIRD Marquez fight after he defeated him at superfeather. Did he retire or fight a lesser opponent? NO. He went up in weight and captured another title with a spectacular knock out.

On the other hand, if Pacquaio went on to fight Mosley instead of Mayweather, especially if negotiations done by his promoter fall through, nobody would find fault with that move.
