"Kessler's THE MAN @ 168"...."Since Calzaghe Left, Kessler is CLEARLY the Ruler of the Supermiddleweights"..."Kessler is the CLEAR FAVORITE to Win the Super 6 Tourney"..."Kessler has ALREADY PROVEN he's a GREAT Fighter"...

    :shit::shit::shit:

NOW Do U Motherfuckers SEE What REED has Been Talking about???...Can U Motherfuckers HEAR REED NOW???....Just YESTERDAY, REED was Basically Labeled a RACIST (even after Giving PLAUSIBLE REASONING that Actually PLAYED OUT Before YOUR Eyes) for DARING to Pick Andre Ward...REED was Even Also Told that he was BIASED AGAINST Kessler, UNFAIRLY!!!...Hmmmm, REALLY???!!!....

So 11 Rounds AFTER the Fact, WHAT Do U Motherfuckers Think NOW????...

Mikkel Kessler COULDN'T have Looked More AVERAGE if he TRIED...Andre Ward Fucking EMBARRASSED Him!!!!....& NO, REED Certainly AIN'T Hopping on Ward's Bandwagon, Even Though he was ULTRA Impressive & Appears to Fight to the Level of his Competition...Ward's 2 BEST Fights have Been Against his 2 BEST Opponents...

For MORE than a Year, REED has Been Catching FLACK just for QUESTIONING WHY Soooooooooooo Many of Ya'll ANNOINTED Kessler UNjustifiably, as it Turned Out...NOW Do U Motherfuckers SEE WHY REED has Been Questioning Kessler???...

Mikkel Kessler is BASIC to a Fucking FAULT...He was Made to Look AMATUERISH Tonight...BUSTED the Fuck Up, VISIBLY HURT By a Guy that CAN'T Punch a Lick & EXPOSED as a SORE ASS LOSER, to Boot...@ BEST, Kessler Won a SINGLE Round Tonight...ONE!!!!...

As the GREAT Denny Green Said,"You Wanna CROWN Their Ass, then CROWN em!!"....MOST of ya'll ANNOINTED Kessler???...Well ANNOINT Him!!!!...How's "The RULER of 168" Looking NOW???...Continue to Tell REED why he was WRONG about Kessler...Continue to Tell REED Why HE'S the 1 that just DOESN'T Get It in Regards to Kessler...& As the GREAT Michael Irvin would Say, "Do it w/the SAME Intensity"....

On a Fight where Probably 90% of the Site Picked 1 Guy, REED STUCK to his Fucking Guns....CONTINUE Supporting Kessler, THANKS for REEDing this & FUCK YOU Very Much!!!...

Ward gave the performance of his life, I take my hat off to him, since I was dissing him for a long time for never stepping up the competition, he dominated the best 168 lbs champ hands down. Now he's the man to beat.

Yeah Kessler sucks and he can't adjust or deal with footspeed...He'll knockout Froch though if he has the heart for it cause he seems a little soft.

If Kessler-Froch Becomes a DOGFIGHT, Give REED Froch...Froch is More LIMITED, but he's Also MORE COURAGEOUS...There's DEFINITELY Some "Softness" There in Kessler, that REED Can't Quite Put his Finger On...

THEN, After an EMBARASSINGLY 1-Sided Fight, he Speaks as if the Referee was a Factor???:shit:....

what did showtime say on camera...58% or so of viewers picked Ward?

"The ONLY Thing REED Knows for Certain is that NEITHER of these Fighters will WIN the Super 6 Tourney"

we'll just keep this in mind for later.

We all overrated Mikkel true, but now as a result of tonight he'll become UNDERRATED, and ppl might even pick Froch to beat him. But no... he'll still KO the Nottingham punching bag.

Well put it this way.... the Kessler that we saw vs Andrade would absoloutely murder Froch. But maybe.... just maybe.... age and the two losses combined, and that Kessler wont show up anymore. Then and only then does shitty Froch have a chance.

Yeah, he beat Mundine but Mundine did have success and won a good 4 rounds.

The Mundine, Calz, and now Ward fights have made it apparent what Mikkel's weakness is.... speed.

Lucky for him.... he has Froch next, then Taylor. Both those guys suck, so Kess should have success.

i still think highly of kessler and it remains to be seen how he does throughout this tourney.

ward just might be the future although he's not the most exciting guy to watch.

It is styles more than anything. Kessler will still whup Froch, Taylor and perhaps Abraham. Dirrell however will cause him plenty of trouble.

Ward was excellent tonight and could well take the tournament

Just maybe it is this way you express yourself (again) that people questioned your motives of disrespecting Kessler? You know, the same way you cry racism towards anybody who didn't like Jones?

I fell asleep at 2.30am, so I haven't seen the fight yet, but I must admit to being quite stunned by the result based on what I read in the predicition thread.

Mister REED took a lot of shit prior to this fight, so I'm not exactly surprised by the sudden appearance of this thread, but for you to say that you were 'never impressed with Mikkel Kessler' is a fallacy.

The evidence exists in the FB archives which shows that you were suitably impressed to pick Mikkel against Calzaghe 'confidently', by KO no less, and your explanation that you made this pick because Calzaghe was 'unproven' at the time flies in the face of picking Ward. When Joe fought Kessler, he'd been a beltholder for almost ten years and had wins over Eubanks, Bika, Reid, Starie and Lacy. Ward, on the other hand, had fought nobody. There is an obvious logical flaw in that explanation and it was THIS I took issue with and still do, in fact.

I remember all of this quite clearly, because I was fairly new to this board at the time of the Calz-Kessler fight and took on all comers in defending Calzaghe prior to that fight.

That said, I'm man enough to eat crow in respect of last night's result (again, bearing in mind I haven't seen the fight yet and am going from the description of the fight given by posters in the prediction thread). By all accounts Ward has stepped up to the mark and shown himself a major factor in this Tourney. Congrats to him :bears:

And kudos to Mister REED for the pick. It was a brave pick and, to my mind, flied against the available evidence prior to the fight; a fact evidenced by the sheer volume of contrary predicitions and the pre-fight odds. I was wrong (and far from alone in being so) and, from what I have read here, wrong by a considerable margin.

I always fall asleep before the good fights. It's SO fucking annoying...:bangh:

Kessler was awful last night, and i'm having a hard time figure out if that was because Ward was so good. Kessler was just so flat.

I'm not going to rush to conclusions.....we'll know by the end of this tournament, how good Kessler, and everyone else involved for that matter, really is

I never thought Kessler was anything special either, just a very solid fighter. Nothing more. And yes, very basic.

I did pick him to win this fight, but it was more a case of Ward being unproven, rather than overrating Kessler.

Ward clearly fights to the level of his competition. He looked much, much better last night than against Pudwill.

Also, someone brought up Kessler's age.

He is 30. The same age as Pacquiao, and it's not as if he's been in any wars etc either.

I can't say I haven't been impressed with Kessler. He was a rising prospect and a clear #1 contender for Calzaghe at 168. He had some good performances.

When the super six was announced, I thought it would be him and Ward in the finals with Ward winning. This fight just happened in the first round instead.

This is way too funny. Cause as you know brother Reed ain't never been impressed with Kessler. And yes I did pick Calzaghe to beat Kessler which he did. For for the life of me I couldn't understand why so many anointed him to be the man of the division after a fucking "L". And if we can go back to the archives you best believe I used that very quote from Denny Green regarding Kessler. Last night proved my point that he nothing special. Hell all I saw was a jab straight right hand. That's it. There were no bells and damn sure wasn't any whistles. However the fight was exciting. It kept me on the edge of my seat cause I was waiting and waiting for Kessler to land or perhaps change up his style to change the course of the fight but he didn't. Great back to back weeks of fights. I'll Holla 5000

You might have done, but Mister REED did not. He picked Kessler to beat Calzaghe. By knockout, no less.

Mister REED might not be impressed with Kessler right now, but he was suitably impressed once upon a time to picked Mikkel over a guy who was something like p4p top ten at the time.

    Some 'umimpression'...

Well then, kudos to you. It seems you might have been right. :bears:

But everything else I stated in respect of Mister REED is accurate. I recall it well because I was suprised that someone like Mister REED would pick Mikkel over a great fighter like Calzaghe.

He made a brave pick yesterday that turned out well, so props to him and I have shown up here (as one of his many detractors in respect of last nights fight) and given him his dues where it is deserved. But I can't imagine why ANYONE would pick an 'unimpressive' guy to beat Calzaghe, especially if he's 'never been impressed by him'.

Mister REED takes credit for being right yesterday. :bears: But for him to state that he has never been impressed by Kessler is clearly false.

    MTF :dunno:
