Have you seen Kess's fight with Bumdine? He won, but looked sluggish in that fight too. The reason is speed. It throws of Mikkel's style.

He's much better off fighting a slow, easy to hit guy like Froch.

Yeah and he won 10 of 12 rounds, not a good example.

I admit I was wrong. Very wrong.

I picked Kessler because I thought his power would eventually be the difference even if he was being outboxed.

In truth, I just thought very little of Ward. Never impressed me to be honest. That was another reason I chose Kessler to win.

But REED was correct all along. Kessler was nothing more than a limited stand up boxer with a jab, right hand, and no movement at all. Very robotic.

    1. I had Bumdine winning 4 rounds.

    2. Ward is clearly awhole lot better than Bumdine.

Hey Reed I also picked Pavlik to beat Taylor. As a matter of fact I picked Abraham to pick Taylor. Correct me if I'm wrong Taylor was the speedier and slicker fighter if those 2 words can be used to describe Taylor in both of those fights. Jaws is a little bitch and I'm a tell you what Jaws you keep talking shit and I swear to God I will fly my ass to LA and whup you and whoever else wants some. You little punk ass bitch. I will show you a welfare queen. Don't forget I'm from the LB and it's only a hop skip and a jump away. By the way I can also obtain your address as well so believe me I will show up at your house. I'll Holla 5000

Your general discussion workrate has certainly increased lately, I only wish European fighters were exposed every week so that you would contribute more. Bigdawg please, before you say it, how could you not take that as a compliment? it means you were missed. :crafty:

Kauki, please correct me, if I'm wrong, but aren't you a huge Kessler supporter?
Please reply in the "Yes/No" form.
    Thanks.

Why no Dympeople, not a huge supporter, I didn't mind what I saw in the Andrade fight, but post-Calzaghe, he proved to be somewhat a soothing, endearing, limited, one dimensional European that we dont have to panick about, we would one day get a chance to laugh it off by an American bon-fire,..and I'm happy for you Dympeople, I'd imagine you would be frenzied with blood all over your cats whiskers. :cheer:

I liked Kessler more before this fight happened, because back then I thought he was good.

Now that I know he's crap I don't like him anymore.

    Fuck Kessler!

No offence dude, but shut the fuck up.

I, and 90% of the whole world picked Kessler. Mister REED got it right and I gave him credit for that brave pick. What I took exception to was this ridiculous bandwagon; NOT the pick itself.

As ANYONE on this board knows, I myself have nothing but respect for Mister REED. Frankly, it IRKS me to see him personally attack me in this thread, because I have a lot of time for the man and a lot of respect for his boxing knowledge. Certainly, I have never personally attacked Mister REED, even when I have disagreed with him.

You are clearly a BOXING man yourself. I enjoy your posts, in fact. But we all pick fights, wrong from time to time, and when it happens, you shouldn't expect to be personally insulted. At least some of us committed to a prediction in this fight. Where the fuck were you?

    Absolutely

I understand the need to vent, but me and REED have had plenty of RESPECTFUL debates in the past. This time he has gone off on one...

Kessler is so much better than the poop you've highlighted so far its ridiculous. Kudos on continued objectivity, and lets just highlight this statement for when Kessler wins this weekend

REED is Right MORE than YOUR SORRY Ass, that's for CERTAIN...But Leave it to a Motherfucker that Holds Winky Wright & Chris Byrd in HIGHER Regard than he Does Sugar Ray Leonard & Muhammad Ali to Get All MENSTRUAL Over his FAILED Mikkel Kessler Nuthuggery......

Yep, REED "Always" Picks Black, just like he Did when he Predicted the EXACT ROUND that the ULTRA BLACK Kelly Pavlik would KO Jermain Taylor's LILY WHITE ASS In:shit:....Just like REED Picked Wlad & Vitali Klit's GHETTO Asses to Beat Lamon Brewster, Sam Peter, Tony Thompson & Hasim Rahman's HILLBILLY Asses...Yep, REED ALWAYS Picks Black...Mark it DOWN!!!...

BECAUSE of Kessler's LOSS to Calzaghe, there MOST DEFINITELY WAS "Logical Reasoning" to PICK Ward, as REED did...For the UMPTEENTH Time, it was OBVIOUS that Kessler STRUGGLED w/Speed & MOBILITY...THEN, Factor In the Possibility of Ward OUTJABBING Kessler (which REED ALSO Noted PRE-FIGHT) & His YOUTH & There was PLENTY Reason to Pick Ward...U're Making it Seem like Kessler was UNBEATEN & had Shown NO Vulnerability WHATSOEVER, when REED Picked Ward to Beat Him....

Bottom Line, if U Wanna MAINTAIN this "Truce" that YOU Requested, SPARE REED your LAME Ass Racial Accusation, Bitch...Otherwise, it's ON...

No it was a styles pick and Ward had the style to do exactly what JC did. That was obvious to me at least especially seeing how JC struggled with the movement of even that cro magnon he last fought. It's was subtle but a keen boxing mind like myself picked it up. Kessler is a basic fighter who was pretty much exposed as one dimensional by JC. Now me picking Hatton to beat Pac. Now THAT was an emotional pick

Lucky guess dude, congrats. What more do you want?I didn't pile on your prediction just the way you said it. I said Ward was an unknown and I wasn't willing to say X=suck. I guess Ward's stunning victories over Kenny Kost and Edison Mierda lead the way, nice guess dude.

Calzaghe was an underdog to beat Kessler? Like fuck he was...

Despite Kessler's 'inability' to handle Calzaghe's speed, you started a thread PRAISING Calzaghe on eeking out a win. Are you seriously trying to tell me that you picked Kessler on a hunch, like the fight was a non-event between two unproven guys? Come on- it was one of the biggest fights of the year FFS!!!

You and many other gave Calzaghe PLENTY of props after the Lacy fight. It was coming of age fight in the US and his popularity SOARED off the back of that fight. After the Kessler fight, you stated that you would rate Calzaghe 'at worst 2A' p4p if he beat Hopkins. Why would that be the case if Kessler and Calzaghe were nothing fights?

Bottom line- you made a brave pick and got it right. Congrats to you for that and I eat crow in that respect. BUT this 'I was never impressed' bandwagon is complete bullshit which can be easily demonstrated as much with a quick browse through the archives.

You want your cake, Mister REED and you want to eat it. You can have the cake (your pick last night) but this attempt to eat it flies in the face of your own posts. Fact.

    Hmmm???...Here's what REED Wrote PRE-Fight...

REED is Leaning Towards Ward More, Because of the Versatility...It's Conceivable that he Could OUTJAB Kessler (& if that's the Case, Kessler will LOSE a WIDE UD), he'll Likely Befuddle Kessler w/his Speed, Angles, Flurries & Switching from Southpaw to Ortho Repeatedly...Kessler has the Proverbial PUNCHER'S Chance but that's It...Ward has GOOD Supermiddle SIZE as Well...He WON'T B Dwarfed by Kessler like Alot of Others have Been...

REED is Expecting Ward to Use CalzaghESQUE Elements en Route to a Decision...

    "Emotional Pick" REED's ASS!!!....

"Lucky Guess"???...More like "Lucky" ANALYSIS...If REED had Merely Said "Ward will Win" & LEFT it @ that, U'd have a Point..But Considering the Following, your "Point" is DEFECATED Upon...

To be honest, it's too easy to say "it's in the archives". I don't ever recall REED being all that excited about Kessler. So if you want to call REED a liar (which is what you are doing here), then maybe you should back up your claims with proof. If you can produce what you are attributing to REED in the proper context, then fine. But if not...all we have to go on is your recollection of what was said 2 years ago.

Picking Kessler to beat Calzaghe at that time could easily have a pick against Calzaghe (who many still had doubts about at that time) rather than a ringing endorsement of Kessler.

Kessler fought like a girl last night. Afraid to commit, afraid to get hit...and all it did, was get him hit more. He had absolutely no clue about what to do.

some of you guys should go out into the world a little bit. I hear eating at fancy restaurants (denny's doesn't count) can be fun, oh and getting pussy is good too. if that fails, you can always come back here for the times in life when you're right. I bought the Kessler koolaid, I'd only seen his fight with Calzaghe, but I took people's word for it about him. If you look to the Dirrelll/Froch, Abraham/Taylor thread you will find a nice comment about the winner of this fight being the best guy of the group.

Have your moment, as I say, its about that time of year for you guys to get one right.

Say leon, who did you pick last week in Cotto/Pacquiao?

I get "sticking up for your friend" but you guys need to grow the fuck up, this is the fucking internet.

So when the Token Minority of the HO-Cal Clique CONSTANTLY Inserts Laughing Smileys In Response to YOUR Posts Does HE "Need to GROWthefuckUP" as Well???:shit:...Therein Lies YOUR Problem, Jaws...LACK of CONSISTENCY...

1st of All, U COMICALLY DARED REED to Highlight YOUR Pre-Fight Statements on the Kessler-Ward Prediction Thread, yet NOW, U DON'T Have SHIT to Say about It:lol:...SELF OWNAGE @ it's FINEST....This After Inserting a Straw & DRINKING from YOUR OWN Vagina about YOUR Prediction Record...

& NOW, "This is the Fucking Internet", yet After the Pac-Hatton Fight (when 75% of the Site Picked THE RIGHT Guy to Win) YOU Started a CROWish Thread Similar to This:lol:...

But when REED Does it, when 95% of the Site Picked THE OTHER Guy, it's Time to GROW UP???...U're a JOKE, Dude...U have an OVERABUNDANCE of the ASSHOLE Gene & that's Precisely Why U're Being Called to the Carpet by MANY Posters in this Thread...

U Want the LUXURY of Calling People Out on their Picks, yet U ALSO Want to MINIMIZE the BACKLASH when U're WRONG...After ALL this Time, LOOK where INCESSANTLY RIDING REED's Nuts Got U???...Have a Side Order of HUMILITY w/that Fresh Warm Cup of COMEUPPANCE, Bitch....

Not one of my better picks....to say the least.

Andre Ward is the truth, he looked very good, poised and everything. I can't wait for the second round of this tournament, its a great idea.

oh and Kessler was a sour cunt after his beating
