Sounds like a plausible, objective prediction to me.

Hatton's stylistic analysis had Cotto beating Pacquaio as well.

That's THE ONLY Point REED was Trying to Make...SURE, REED's Heard PLENTY of Fighters Virtually IGNORE the Guys they SHOULD Name, when Speaking of who HURT them the Most or who was THE BEST they Ever Fought...& it's ABSURD for Hatton to Think that he was Getting the BETTER of Manny for ANY Stretch of that Fight, Not to Mention Calling the KILL Shot a "Lucky" Blow...

But Having Said that, Hatton's PREDICTION Seemed Rather LOW-KEY, DEVOID of Bitterness & More Importantly it MADE SENSE...If/When Floyd Beats Manny it'll LARGELY B Attributed to his DEFENSIVE Wherewithal...

i hate to throw a spanner in the pacman party, but hatton is not wrong here.

IF and that is an if mayweather decided to fight pacman, he'll give him the marquez treatment.

Zab Judah also Did a STYLISTIC ANALYSIS:

"It would be a good fight, but it won't be a shutout like he got against De La Hoya and Cotto. Mayweather has good defense, it will throw Pacquiao off. I also feel that it would be a 12 round split decision for Manny Pacquiao. I just feel if Pacquiao puts up his normal effort and it goes 12 rounds, they won't do that Mayweather nod shit, that's not going to happen."

I've picked against Pac since the second Morales fight...and you see how well that's worked out....

So no...I don't pick Pac to beat Mayweather.

    where did you stop reading?

Hatton also said Floyd bores the shit out of him and doesn't take chances. Says Manny's a more exciting fighter and Floyd should have knocked out Marquez.

No he made that prediction because Mayweather is the best fighter in the world and Pacman is the 2nd best.

personally I think Hatton doesn't know shit. If this was a holding contest or a Ruiz fight I would take his prediction seriously. Otherwise Hatton should shut the fuck up and just hold spit buckets.

it's funny that you say "unpleasant viewing" I think just the opposite! I love when people bring up "lucky punches" and say they were "battering" the other guy before getting knocked out:lol:

Pacquaio and Mayweather are the two most ACCURATE motherfuckers in the sport.

Whoever controls the PACE wins. Pacquaio's foot, head movement and hand speed will give Mayweather fits. Mayweather's defense first, speed will give Pacquaio fits. The problem is I don't think Pacquaio will get discouraged by what Mayweather does. Will keep throwing no matter what. He'll look to TIME counters as Mayweather throws.

You know how Mayweather measures his adversaries' strength in the fight to know when to start walking them down? That will NEVER happen with Pacquaio.

There will be very little distractions in their training camps with only the exception of selling the fight. The fight sells itself but people still want to see interviews.

I hope to see BOTH fighters SEVERELY tested. The fight of THIS generation.

    Good comments Fighter.
They are both excellent @ getting off first & controlling the pace.

What I also like about this fight is that Pacman has been taking his opponents hearts away. Turning them into discouraged punching bags, & he NEVER gets discouraged.
PBF, although they have such different styles, does a pretty similar thing. He just eventually takes over & his opponents succumb physically, mentally, or both.
Now I can't imagine Pacman getting discouraged & countered to death, throwing ineffectual tokenistic shots ever, and it's hard to imagine Floyd becoming a punching bag.

    Who will impose their will...?

2 key moments in the fight will be:

    a) How does Manny react to missing often. Manny won't find Floyd early on like he's been fighting everyone he has fought lately. Floyd's too skilled and crafty and he knows what he's facing with dealing with Pacquiao. Will Manny get ansious and loose the control of the fight? Will he keep the composture and gameplan?

    b) How will Floyd react to getting hit flush and hard by Pacquiao. Manny is a speed demon and accurate as hell. He will land on Floyd, how Floyd reacts will make the difference. If he takes it, he will be ok. If he gets hurt or stops throwing punches Manny's confidence will raise and he could start outworking Mayweather.

Great GREAT fight. I'm so excited and it hasn't been made yet.

    WTF?

Guys are FORCING me to defend Floyd.

Golden Boy picked up options on Mayweather (I believe three fights) as part of the contract when he signed to fight Oscar. The Pac fight would be the third fight.

    Therefore...

if anything the Hopkins-DLH fight is more suspect...Oscar goes down from a phantom kidney punch then less than two weeks later Hopkins is announced as a PARTNER in Golden Boy.

Not options on hopkins fight but a BUSINESS PARTNER.

    THAT is "fishy."

well yeah, the Hopkins deal was fishy. but so is the PBF deal. we sat there and watched ODH fight a guy knowing full well he had a stake in the guy's future career. likewise, we sat there and watched PBF take on his "boss" in a boxing match. no wonder it looked like a fight neither guy wanted to win. that should be illegal.

I fI was to guess the answers to those questions, I would imagine that if he has a good corner, Pacquiao WILL keep composed, and if Pacquiao does land often (which I actually still think is the biggest IF), Floyd will not react well. I just don't think the guy has a fighters heart.

Manny Pacquiao right hand will be useless in the a fight vs. Mayweather. He can try going to the body w/ the right, but Mayweather/or Ref will start complaining about kidney shots, hitting on the back,etc..etc..
