After puting Andrade down tonight and beating him for the 2nd time while showing growth in the process; Could Bute have been the front runner it he had entered the Super6? I have been in the ring with: Kessler, Ward, and Bute. I've been telling you all for the last year that Lou has the best: ring generalship, combine speed/power, boxing south-paw, boxing IQ maybe in the sport since the young ODLH. I am convinced he is the best SMW on the planet. What do you think?

The near and should be loss to Andrade in the first fight kills it for me. He may have done well in the tournament though. I hope he can keep it going for the division's sake.

Both are extremely skilled. Chad is faster, but Bute is a bigger puncher. Both seem to have less than great chins. Personally I think it'd be an interesting matchup. They're the best two fighters from 168-175. I wouldnt be surprised if HBO tried to match them sometime in 2010.

I don't know if he's number one but a case could certainly be made. I hope someone forfeits in the supersix and Bute takes his place. That'd be great.

    Apparently HBO wants Bute-Pavlik next.

Put me down for Bute stopping The Ghost.

I don't think the first fight was that bad. He was up in 8 seconds and the fight was over. The same shit everyone cried foul over in Taylor/JCC.

After last night... I'm sure Pav and his people would much rather fight Williams than Bute.

To tell the truth Bute is a beat faster and 15% more active per Round. Chad is a big man! Could rough Lucian up and very long. To tell the truth; one would have to say that another south-paw is what INterbox fears most. They wanted no part of Joe Cal I remember. Lets pray for Bute/Dawson, a high speed chess match with two guys with a very deep boxing IQ! That Bute liver shot is like a Nuke missle. Infact the Asst. Trainers Pierre and Bernard tell you B4 you get in "protect your right side!". Whats is also great is that Dawson has a speacil shot too. If he hit you. Goodnite planet Earth! You guys will have to pay for that info. HAHAHHA If you haven't seen this; go over to Youtube.com and watch Zuniga get stop by Bute. Listen to the yell he lets out due to the body shot!

Gimme a break. He stops Andrade after basically getting knocked out in the first fight and suddenly he´s the best guy at 168-175. Kessler shut out Andrade 12-0 on first try, so Andrade basically matched what Kessler did and is now #1?

Certainly not #1, but "in the discussion" so to speak. I don't see Bute getting tooled against Ward like Kessler did.

Of course he´s in the discussion, but what Ward did to Kessler was far more impressive. Froch can´t be too far behind in the discussion either. X made it sound like it´s a fact that Dawson and Bute are #1/#2. Bute hasn´t beaten an elite super-middleweight yet. He had beaten the 2nd row in mostly impressive fashion.

The thing that was impressive about Bute was his performance and that he earned the KO. Ward's performance was more important though, no question there.

No argument there. The way it´s going for Kessler´s legacy Sturm will probably KO Mundine Ottke-style and Beyers wife will beat him up with a golf club next.

If Pavlik and his team accept that fight then they are dumb.

Bute doesn´t look like he handles pressure all that well and his chin is just as questionable as Kelly´s. HBO´s patience is running out anyway. If Pavlik wants to get paid Williams and Bute are more less his only options.

There's no 'should be loss' about their first fight. Bute was up at 9 and it was past the 3:00 mark of the final round. He had zero chance of taking anymore punishment. If a fight is ever stopped under those circumstances, it would be the one of the worst disgraces and injustices ever.

Not to say it didn't warrant a rematch because it was seconds away from being a true screw job to Andrade if it had occurred earlier.

I agree with Otis that Bute is quicker than Dawson.

Dawson's speed doesn't look anything special to me. I think Ward and Bute are both quicker for sure.

It's funny how quickly opinions can change in boxing, and the old axiom of you're only as good as your last fight.

Before their last 2 fights, I bet almost everyone here would have picked Kessler to beat Bute.

Now I imagine over 50% would pick Bute.

Kessler looks vicious when he tries to kill his opponent and starts letting them go, but his style can be completely unravelled, he cried about both Calzaghe and Ward 'spoiling his boxing' .. great, even by his own admission, he's not a versatile fighter, and to be a great fighter, you've got to study, think, and adapt, all in the ring, during the fight.

The KD and the stoppage were certainly impressive. Not only is Bute slick, but he's got some pop as well. But at the end of the day, it is a win over the human punchbag and gatekeeper of the division. He as good as lost to him previously.

Andrade didn't start so slow last night. Early on in the 4th round was connecting with enough regularity that it had me thinking he might get him out sooner than the dying seconds of the 12th.

He looked a bit Fraud Mayweather-ish,.. but he was still getting caught due to the fact that he kept his head a little bit above belt level, had he ducked below Andrade's waist he would barely have got a rub, it is commendable for him not to break the rules, but I see him in the future being the Arabian version of Fraud, 'Untouchable' people will celebrate, 'Fucking disgraceful cheat' I shall reply.

No Doubt, Bute Looked UNCOMFORTABLE Until he DROPPED Andrade...Andrade Landed Quite a Few UPPERCUTS which is the LAST Punch ANY Fighter Should Get Hit Clean w/....
