Its a shame that this matchup has gotten NO mention on this forum yet. Less than 2 weeks away now. Two young, undefeated junior welters. Predictions?

Before Bradley showed he could compete at the top level, I think Peterson would have been the clear pick. Now it's Peterson who hasn't competed on the level Bradley has reached. I guess I'd lean Bradley. The problem with this fight is that there really isn't a chance for a KO and Peterson could really make it a snoozer if he wants or needs to.

'Nother Fight that's HARD to Figure Out...

Tim Bradley's More PROVEN & Maybe a Tad More Naturally TALENTED, but Peterson is More SKILLED & has More TOOLS to Use...Bradley's Gonna have to UGLY this Fight Up to Defend his Title OR Hope that he's Soooooo Much FASTER than Peterson that he can Jump In & Out w/Out Getting Touched...

REED Can See this Playing Out like a Poor Man's Version of Forrest vs. Mosley, w/the Shorter Bradley Being UNABLE To Deal w/the LENGTH & JAB of Peterson...The Only Thing REED is CERTAIN of is that this Bout WON'T End by KO...

I like Peterson in this one. I've never been impressed with Bradley.

I think Peterson's better on the inside and outside. The Holt fight told me alot....the guy (Bradley) swings wide and never sees the lefthook. if Holt didn't fight like a coward and sat down more often, he would have knocked him out (and I hate Holt)

The Campbell fight, Bradley was terribly wide and simply outworked nate. nate's never been a lefthooker so Bradley didn't have much to worry about...plus the difference in speed.

I see Peterson catching most of Bradley's wide shots on the arms and gloves then tearing him apart up the middle on counters and uppercuts...especially the way Bradley leans and falls in with his head.

    Nice fight.

Good to see Lamont finally step up so we can see if he's really any good or not. Hopefully Anthony will step up soon also.

This will be a good fight. Both guys will bring their A game, and may the best man win.

They're merely two mediocre fighters. Don't let the fact that they hold titles fool you. We'll all watch but it's nothing to get excited over and the fact that neither are well known is why there isn't much discussion on them.

Nah, they're BOTH Better than Mediocre...It Remains to B Seen if Either is "VERY GOOD" or "GREAT", but they're BOTH Better than "Mediocre", Already...We're Talking about 2 of the BETTER U.S. Amatuers of the Last 5-10 Years Here...

That's true. I only meant mediocre in terms of them having talent. They're skilled no doubt, but they have little to no talent and it's hard to get up for watching this fight. I'm more looking forward to the Alexander-Maidiana fight that has been discussed then I am this.

    </P>GOOD Shit!!....

REED Didn't Know that Peterson Came DOWN in Weight as Much as he Appears to...He Looked to B in the '54-'60 Range w/his Shirt Off...People Talk about his LACK of Pop, but Dude Puts PLENTY of Mustard on those Bodyshots...

The Only Thing REED DIDN'T Like was Andrew Council's Comments about the Sparring w/Floyd...Whether it's FACTUAL Or Not, U DON'T Publicize what Go's on in Sparring...That's 1 of the UNWRITTEN Rules of Boxing...But There Council Was, Talking about Peterson Getting the BETTER of Floyd & Saying it was a "Changing of the Guard"...

All in All, GOOD Shit Though...MORE Fighters Need to Put Out Snippets of their Work Outs...FAMILIARITY bREEDs a FANBASE....

Forrest-Mosley is a very good analogy REED. Makes me consider changing my pick.

Hate to see another robbery, but considering the fight is in Timmy's backyard, Lamont better win BIG. If the fight is even a lil bit close, Bradley will probably get the nod.

And to lb 4 lb..... both of these guys are much better than "mediocre". Both are top 5 jnr welters, and both are young and undefeated. No one ever said that either guy was the second coming of Roy, or Mosley.... but both are good fighters, and the fight has the potential to be a good one. I personally am looking forward to it.

I've yet to see anything from Lamont that has been thinking him in this fight.

The thing is though it was big news in the boxing world what went down that day between Floyd and Lamont. I remember my friend calling me and telling me that Floyd was talking shit to Lamont and Lamont wasn't backing down and was talking shit back to him and got up in his face and they went to WAR in the sparring session. So Council was just addressing what was already a huge topic that people want to know about.

Read the comments on this video. There's some inside scoops on what happened.

REED Would B Interested in HEARING what Went Down Too, but PUBLICIZING it Isn't Cool...Reminds REED of when Spadafora Did the Same Shit to Floyd...Sparring is CONTROLLED, w/Headgear, Bigger Gloves, SMALLER Ring, AFTER a Workout (Sometimes), etc...

Unless it's COMPLETELY 1-Sided or a Guy Gets KO'ed in a Sparring Session, there's NOT Much U Take Away from it, Honestly...

Ultimately, REED Doesn't Hold it Against Peterson Because there's a Chance that this is FACTUAL...& Peterson is a Pretty RESERVED, LOW-KEY Type Generally, who Doesn't Seem like he'd EXAGGERATE Something like that...It's HIS Prerogative to Divulge what Went Down...

But it Wasn't Cool for 1 of his Corner People to B on Video BRAGGING about it...

This is a damn good fight and I can't wait to see this scrap. Also I think that the Petersen brothers are very talented. They possess all the skills. The only thing they are missing is big fights. If the older Petersen is able to get by Bradley which I think he will the skies the limit for him. I'll Holla 5000

I'll pick Bradley, but with no real confidence. I'm not yet sold on him- his best win is a decision over Attraction's hero FFS. Moreover, I've seen maybe a grand total of two of Peterson's fights thus far, so an educational trip to youtube might be the order of the day...

    Bump!

The closer and closer the fight nears.... the more and more I feel like Peterson will pull the upset.

I feel the same way. IMO Bradley does everything better than Lamont and has more power with better competition.

Peterson has a better jab and technical skills.

Nah...you got it twisted Lamont does everything better than Bradley but Timmy has the heart of a lion and thats what puts him over the edge in his fights.

I'd say that Bradley has slightly faster hands, and perhaps a bit more pop... though neither guy is a big puncher. Peterson though has a better jab, better skills and defense. In order for Timmy to win I think he's gonna have to make it a fast paced fight, cause I think a boxing match favors Peterson. Its a very interesting fight and I'm having a hard time picking a winner. Cant wait til Sat night!

btw - i like Timmy, but he REALLY has to watch his head in there. Dude is like a mini-Holy.

    agREED...

Bradley's the Better ATHLETE, but Peterson's the Better Skilled BOXER...Bradley's Gonna have to Rely on SPEED, ANGLES, WORKRATE, Things of that Nature...He's NOT Gonna OUTSLICK or OUTBOX Lamont Peterson...He's NOT Gonna Beat Peterson from Looooooooooooong Range Either...

Bradley has More INTANGIBLES, Peterson has More TOOLS...

The more and more I think of this fight brother REED the more and more I see it as a poor man's Mosley vs Forrest. With Tim obviously being Shane, and Peterson playing Forrest. Only I dont think it'll be a one sided fight either way. If one were to dominate the other I'd be highly impressed.

If you think this is a 50/50, put your money where your mouth is and bet it. Because Bradley is a clear betting favourite.

    For good reason, mind you.
