http://www.fightbeat.com/article_detail.php?AT=710 Though a touch late, Reed gives us his thoughts on Green-Jones and Hops-Ornelas.
When you declare someone a "sure thing" you better hope for your reputations sake that they don't get KO'd in the first round. :: "Prelude to Inevitability." :: I can't believe that's the lead article. Fightbeat's going places!
I got Reed's message about the article this morning. By the time I was able to access the frontpage of the site, it was a fait accompli.
A good REED, although it might have been more so if everyone didn't know already that the predicted result had not come to pass...:: Buddy, did you get my Khan-Salita preview? :dunno: MTF
Feebs, I'll check my email when I get home. Resend it just in case. I can't check my gmail or yahoo accounts from work.
Hopkins-Jones should happen anyhow, just for the gimmick value of seeing them share the same ring again, I think it would be much the same fight as it would have been before today, Hopkins won't be taking him out like Green did. Green-Hopkins is of zero interest to me.
and this is why the "picking anyone over Kessler" thing didn't make you boxing-smart. All you do is pick YOUR favorites, and no I didn't even REED it, just the last line. good call. *edited "YOUR" to coincide with the target's reading comprehension in mind
Toooo ANXIOUS for Messageboard Redemption, Jaws::...Did the STING of REED Being 100% Spot On about Kessler Affect YOU THAT Much?????...REED Certainly DIDN'T Pick "Anyone" Over Kessler, REED Picked a Guy w/the RIGHT STYLE to Beat Kessler & Even ELABORATED on WHY that Style would Win... As for Jones-Green, REED DIDN'T State ANY Stylistic Reasoning... And now, with the scent of a do-over with Hopkins in the air, Jones elects to go to the backyard of an aggressive, bigger, stronger and younger man, equipped with enough power to knock his head clean off his shoulders and all the way back to North America. Jones should win and more than likely will. Above all else, bank on a Jones victory, relying on the sheer inevitability of him and Bernard Hopkins meeting again. It's a sure thing.
I know you won't feel too bad about the bad call, but you weren't alone. Graham Houston initially had Green by narrow decision but then having seen and been impressed Jones at weigh-in, he changed at the last minute to Jones by decision http://www.fightwriter.com/?q=node/2490
funny coming from a guy who made 100 threads immediately after the Kessler fight. Started his own thread about how he felt about the guy, proving he was right. How did "Roy is a sure thing" work out?
Try REEDing the Article, as Opposed to Getting MENSTRUAL & PATHETICALLY Seeking e-Revenge... REED:shit:
