I'm Protesting Jones' Loss

He got hit in the back of the head. It's a disgrace that the cheater Danny Green blasts him with a hard punch to the back of the head and he doesn't even get a warning or be disqualified. Roy should have been given 5-minutes to recover and the fight should have continued. BS call in Australia.

Just watch the video and replay it again. He gets blasted in the back of the head. It's an illegal shot. Roy should protest immediately and call for a rematch in America where we don't rob people...that badly :)

on a side note theres atleast 2 times where green put his left hand on top of jones head and pulled it down and punched

i dont think alot of those shots green was throwing landed, alot hit the gloves, but doesnt really matter, jones wasnt throwing back, i would have let it go a little longer though

 

It's not cool to watch Roy in this diminished state. Sad in fact. It's also a reminder that time passes damn fast.

 

He did get warned. But I think here is a time for instant replay. I know Jones isn't protesting, but when he sees the film he's going to realize he took an illegal shot to the back of the head. It's not the ref's fault he didn't catch it, it happened to fast. But that's what happened. It should be reviewed.

No it only tells us that Roy is an asshole, when he´s winning, but I guess he´s also humble in defeat, if only because he´s unconscious, unable to speak or can´t remember what just happened. ::

 

I'm not. I'm not saying Roy isn't shot. But this was absolutely a punch that could have knocked out anybody. It's a dangerous place to hit someone and Roy shouldn't be ashamed because not to many people could have taken that shot and stood up. He should rematch him and do a montell griffith on him then call it a career.

though i agree it was clearly a shot to the back of the head i just dont think roy needs to continue to fight, the mans 40 for christ sakes and clearly past his best, he needs to do his promotion thing, train fighters and commentate

 

yeah the commentators were out there, acting as if jones wasnt a 40 year old man that was well past his best and had been KOd twice before

 

I just hate when people get cheated. It wasn't intentional, but it happened. Maybe Roy should fight anymore and he might lose again. Still he should at least get that L erased from his record, fight another farewell match against a bum, Knock him out, and then retire.

I agree, that's very unprofessional. But sometimes I think it's an emotional thing. Like when football players do dances and stuff. You get taken in by the moment.

The joke is on Calzaghe now. Couldn´t do what a semi-retired Danny Green did in 122 seconds. He´s basically the only elite fighter, that hasn´t stopped Roy in the last six years. And still mighty proud of his accomplishment. ::
