I'm not an expert of promotional campaigns....but how much more hype does this fight really need? In the wake of Pacquiao-Cotto....the iron is very hot. Why wait for it to cool before heating it up again?

What you talking about? You know as well as I do that Floyd is scared to fight Pacquaio and would never agree to set foot in the ring with him.

His pass is his recent resume, REED. I'd rather see them fight right away, but apparently he wants to help out the shoeless shanty-towners first instead.

    This fight WILL happen ----Roboto

Every Phillipino person I talk to thinks Pacquiao is an idiot for putting this fight on hold and becoming a politician.

Why can't he wait till he retires?

I agree with Reed, if Floyd pulled this shit there would be 10 threads about it right now.

september would do better than march as far as pPV, so if pacquiao doesnt take another tough fight inbetween then thats fine.

personally march sounds good to me, extra loot never hurts

if mayweather jr gets to stay sharp and beat the fuck out of hattons crappy sibling in england for 8 figures while pacquiao recuperates that wont hurt ppv sales. and the fight will only build anticipation among those of us who want to see it.

Once the fight is made and they are going to fight ANYWAY, then it will not matter who said what or who was ducking who?

It is Pacquaio who is coming from a REAL welterweight fight. It is Pacquaio who stood toe to toe with a supposedly bigger stronger welter. This was a couple WEEKS ago. Mayweather's fight with someone two divisions lower was MONTHS ago.

Let Pacquaio enjoy his DESERVED vacation...

if Floyd dares and fights Mathew Hatton everyone and their mother will shit on him.

If he needs a stay busy fight there are better names out there than fucking Mathew Hatton.

I can't believe that is even an option.

Pac has been fighting nothing but the best for YEARS. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand Floyd is undefeated, but he can wait a few extra months if Pac wants a well-deserved break.

I don't think it is necessary. Floyd doesnf't need tune ups, he was out for 18 months and looked sharp enough vs Marquez. Mayweather doesn't cut, but he does have brittle hands....why risk fighting and the possibility of hitting someone on the top of the head?......and, on top of all that....Floyd isn't spectacular, he could fight one of the division's B level guys and just cruise his way to an uneventful decision....that's not gonna sell him to anybody.

It's crap like this that make me wish Corrales and Castillo never fought so they would have been around to smash Pac.

Nah, it pissed me off the last time he did this, and it pisses me off now.

I agree, either fight or go into politics. He's nearing the end of his career, just wait until you retire to run for office etc.

He would stand a better chance then anyway, like someone else said, the Filipinos vote against him because they want him to keep fighting.

As much as I love Chico, Pacman would have destroyed him, and Castillo.

You might be the only person to actually nitpick about Pac's 6 year run. Which is ironic, because you have never expected your favorites to seek out a challenge.

He moved up a division and fought Diaz. The DLH fight is what it is, but no one knew DLH would be that shot and worthless, the intent of a good fight as there.

I love the "Lately Pac has been fighting but the best while Floyd not" argument. Two out of the last 3 opponents of Manny, Floyd got to them before when they were on a good roll of victories.
