Cut Marcus some slack REED, you know the guy is overly emotional. You can never go by his first reaction to things, his emotions obviously get the better of him a lot. I fucking love that guy though, what a nice guy he is. Except when you hurt his friends.

He didn't seem pissed at all, he even gave Roy some props and said that Roy finally impressed him.

Horrible match up for Marcus, one thing about meathead is that fucker can punch. Big Baby better get him to the ground ASAP or he's not making it out of the first round.

If only Marcus would have taken up MMA when he was younger, he would have been a serious force. I think he's only been training a couple of years, basically about as long as Kimbo. Look at the disparity in skills between the two of them. It's like night and day. Marcus is a great athlete. Unfortunately he is too old.

Rampage vs Evans will be awesome...when it happens.

Mitrione, one of the least likable guys I've seen on tv, and then he acts all cool when Marcus Jones acts like a complete imbecile toward him for no reason. Jones has mental health issues.

McSweeney was a fucking douchebag to Zac. His personality is like a twin to Bisping's. But it was cool how he kept his cool when Zac came after him and outclassed him so quickly without hurting him. I wish Zac had clocked him. At least Nelson avenged Zac.

    Nelson is a stud.

Mitrione has sort of grown on me, he's so weird and dumb it's kind of funny.

McSweeney is a bum and does not have a future in the UFC. The fact that he outclassed Zac speaks more about Zac than him.

And that's a weird thing to say about Neslon, he can fight, but I don't think stud is the best word to describe him.

he's a mental case and what he did to Mitrione was totally uncalled for. I look forward to his fight against Mitrione.

I enjoyed the show even though they spent the first 5 minutes or so on the whole kimbo thing....will he turn down the fight?...it ended up being irrelevant because, surprise surprise, Meathead went ahead with the fight anyway.

Other things that irked me....the over-elaborate practical joke....it's so set up and not even funny. The two head-to-heads that Rampage and Rashad had were pathetic. I know there are some pretty dumb UFC fans, but do they really expect the viewers to buy all of that BS?

And Rashad's cornerman doing that hypnotic nonsense....'keep your focus, this is not hocus-pocus'......it bloody is!

I enjoyed the fights though....the match-ups weren't easy to call, and with the exception of Big Baby-Titties, all competitive.

Any odds about? I highly doubt Meathead is an underdog. Hes a strong dude and I dont think Marucs will be able to bully him as easily, and he definitely has the power to put Big Baby back to sleep.

I believe Marcus chose to excel on the ground is because he knows his chin sucks. I didn't realize he had been KTFO before until Schoonover said it before they fought. It makes a lot more sense now. It's sad because he has the height, reach and power to do some damage. The first straight shot from Schaub really made Marcus panic and it was downhill from there.

Jones is far far better than kimbo on the ground but standing up, Kimbo has much an advantage on him than Marcus than Marcus got on him on the ground

Just some random thoughts on last night and the series in general...

A lot of people shit on this season, but I enjoyed it. The whole 'Will Kimbo come back' was retarded and annoying, but looks even worse now that we know Kimbo had his chance but backed out.

If that were anyone else other than Kimbo, you can damn sure bet he wouldn't have been invited back for the finale. But overall, it is a business, and the UFC will milk the Kimbo machine for all it's worth. If he succeeds, that's good for the UFC bottom line. If he fails, you can damn sure bet that he'll fail to the point where he won't be marketable to a competitor like Strike Force of Dream. The UFC wins either way.

Marcus kinda reminds me of Bob Sapp in the way that he's this huge scary black guy, but doesn't seem to have any kind of chin. That's a shame too, because Marcus seems to have great instincts on the ground that with proper training could really blossom. But no matter how good your skills are, without a chin you're not going far in today's MMA.

Meathead seems to have a lot of ability, but I don't think he has the heart. If he can learn some confidence in himself and his abilities, he could be a decent fighter.

Schaub looks to be a great talent, but he looks too small to be a heavyweight. He's already said he can't make the cut to 205, so he's not gonna drop down. But if anyone is well rounded enough to beat Nelson, it's Schaub.

I like Nelson as a fighter, but I think putting him in TUF was a bad choice. Nelson is already as good as he's ever gonna be. TUF is supposed to be for up and comers who can learn from the experience and become stars. Nelson is probably no better a fighter now than he was the day the show started. He's a good fighter, but he'll never be an elite heavy. At best he's on par with Gonzaga, Kongo, Rothwell, etc. Guys that are good, just not great.

Did McSweeney come off like an ass last night or what? He's fighting Titties on the undercard. Here's hoping Titties beats his ass and sends him back to England.

I'm pumped for the Jones\Hammel fight. For those of you who haven't seen Jones fight, he has an unorthodox style with lots of throwns, spinning elbows and all kinds crazy stuff. His biggest weakness seems to be his cardio, but hopefully he's worked on that. Hammel is a great test for him, and if he can get by Hammel, especially if he does it impressively, he'll be right in the mix for some big fights in the crowded 205 lb division.

Jersey Shore native and former Team Rhino standout Frankie Edgar takes on Matt Veach, who is 11-0, but is taking a huge step up in competition in Edgar, who has beaten Sean Sherk, Hermes Franca, Tyson Griffin, Mike Bocek and Spencer Fisher against one loss to Gray Maynard since joining the UFC. Edgar should win, but Veach will have a size advantage on him. Edgar is a small 155 lbs, and Veach used to fight at 170. When Edgar fought Gray Maynard, Maynard was just too big for Edgar. Here's hoping the same thing doesn't happen on Saturday.

As for Kimbo\Alexander....I have a bad feeling about Kimbo in this fight. Kimbo has been complaining about a bad knee, and if you saw Houston's last fight, you know he has really improved his leg kicks. Kimbo's best chance may be to get Houston to the mat. Kimbo doesn't really have ground skills, but Houston is absolutely clueless when the fight goes to the ground. Hopefully Kimbo has improved since joining ATT.

I wonder what order the fights will be shown in. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kimbo\Houston fight is the main event.

Anyway, here's Houston Alexander's last fight against Sherman Pendergrass. If Houston can land kicks like this to Kimbo's leg, Kimbo is in serious trouble......

    Agree with:
(1), (2), (3) (He just manhandles people the same way.), (4) (hope he never does), (7)

    (5) "Great talent" is really pushing it. He's talented, though.

    (6) Agree sort of. He showed on IFL that he is pretty much equal to Rothwell and that's very good. Which is why I picked him to win it like many others. But he has never been in the UFC while previous competitors have, and this is a decent way to introduce him. If someone had picked him off along the way, it would have been a good way to get rid of him, as well. It's just cool to see a fat bastard who can fight so well.

    From Sportsbook.com....

    Marcus Jones -295
    Matt Mitrione +235

    James McSweeney -130
    Darrell Schoonover even

    John Madsden +300
    Justin Wren -500

    Houston Alexander -260
    Kimbo Slice +200

    Matt Hammil +200
    Jon Jones -260

    Frankie Edgar -650
    Matt Veach +450

    Roy Nelson -295
    Brendon Schaud +235

Some pretty interesting lines. I may have to lay some cash on Veach. I don't think he'll win, but with Edgar having trouble with bigger opponants, it may be worth a little something at +450.

Meathead with a punchers chance at +235 is a pretty good deal too.

Neither are sure bets, but probably the best chances to make some cash on upsets.

I told you dudes Tribal Jew was good.

Here's hoping he beats Fatso. He had a monster like Big Baby on him, didn't even look uncomfortable, and ended up breaking free and KO'ing him.

Also I'm serioualy disappointed in some of you, that you were "impressed" with Mitrione :lol:

The same fight that impressed some of you, I thought he looked like a fucking toughman contestant. I wasn't surprised in the least that he got taken out quick by an average fighter like McSweeney.

Also I have to admit it was funny, James started getting all cocky and showboating, then wham, gets nailed

There's a lot to be said for fighting smart and "thinking" in the ring.

Roy is not talented in the slightest, but the guy can clearly fight, mainly due to ring smarts.

REED was Impressed w/Meathead's BOXING During the 1st Round of his 1st Fight, MWS...By MMA Standards it was Fairly Impressive...For a Big Guy Meathead had GOOD Handspeed, VERY Good Power, a Nice VARIETY Of Punches & Above Average TECHNIQUE (Again, by MMA Standards), Until he Got WINDED...

The MENTAL Aspect is Meathead's BIGGEST Shortcoming...Like Rashad Said, he was Basically Tapping the INSTANT McSweeney Locked in the Choke...Didn't even ATTEMPT to Get Out of it 1st...But Rashad ALSO Acknowledged that Meathead CAN Fight...

He's Got WORKABLE Tools, if he just STOPS BS'ing Himself & Those that R Trying to Help him...
