He's slowly winning me over....but not to the extent where i think he'll become an elite fighter. Unfortunately, i don't think this fight will prove much more. From the interviews i have read/seen, i like Salita, but he's out of his depth here.

I tend to think he's getting the shitty end of the stick nowadays. He's not THAT good, if the truth be told, but he's better than, say Carl Froch, and yet he is generally loathed and despised.

I almost feel sorry for the guy

Good article, was that by MTF? MTF is that you sonny jim? Good stuff matey.

I don't understand alot of the criticism Khan recieves to be honest with you, he is an exceptional talent and is doing wonderful things at such a young age, as I keep saying, he is improving with every fight. I am much more impressed with Khan after 22 fights than I was with Hatton after the same amount. People keep saying the kid is arrogant but I don't see it? He's a bit cocky yea but who isn't? It's hardly on the Mayweather level and at least he doesn't refer to himself every sentence in the third person like Hatton does.

He is going to have a great career, and will achieve great things, just sit back and enjoy.

Yeah, that was me mate. As I wrote it, I figured the only person who would actually read it would be you...

He's brought a LOT of it on himself, with his move to PPV being the last straw for quite a few, but I honestly think he's getting a lot of undeserved shit right now. He seems a nice guy and does a lot of work for charity in Bolton, for example, that just never gets any publicity here. As I said earlier, he's a better talent than a fair few of the more feted 'world' champs we have had recently, but he just seems to piss almost everyone off no matter what he does.

I agree with the PPV thing mate, didn't understand the reasoning behind that. It's true he can't seem to catch a break with the British public at the moment, I think making a name for himself in the States will do him good rather than beating Hatton. The Hatton fight will be a huge fight over here but if anything he will get more flak for beating Ricky when he wins. Kind of a potential Bugner-Cooper situation there.

Khan is mostly flash and no chin.

    He's Britain's Ben Dunne.

He'll only have a prolonged career if he's carefully moved.

That's a pretty good comparison IMHO. Khan would get nothing but shit if he fought Ricky: either he loses and he gets the dogs abuse again or he wins and the fact that Hatton is completely shot is used against him over and over again. Its a no-win situation for him.

Dunne has nowhere near the talent of Khan, c'mon man. It's scary how much time Khan has to improve as well, wait a few years and he will be elite. No doubt.

I've read recently that Khan went Hamed's way and mowed down a few pedestrians with his car.
    Any truth to the story?

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...r-Khan-sped-red-light-hitting-pedestrian.html

Boxer Amir Khan drove dangerously through a red light and ploughed into a pedestrian, leaving him screaming: 'I've lost my leg', a court heard.

Khan's BMW convertible powered passed vehicles in the wrong lane just before crashing into the 55-year-old at traffic lights in Bolton town centre.

The injured pedestrian, Geoffrey Hatton, told Bolton Crown Court that just before the collision he heard a "screaming engine" and then found himself on the ground shouting, "I've lost my leg".

The only way Khan doesn't take another dirt nap is if he fights a laundry list of pillow fisted fighters.

In fact, i'd thought the choice of Dunne's opponent was down right retarded after his life and death fight earlier this year.

It wasn't his choice, it was a mandatory, the Thai had been waiting a while for the shot - you can be sure they would not have chosen him willingly

you must really love amir khan. I know this because microsoft word tells me your piece was just shy of 4600 words. Might I suggest for the future that we maybe splice it down a little bit.

    It was a solid read:cheer:

    Ugh.

Amir fucking Khan is the new Winky Wright; the fighter who's name inspires millions of media morons across the globe to take his name and run with it, spewing out a seemingly endless supply of annoying puns.

We get it. It's funny. At least it was. Once. A long time ago. Before I was around. Now its not.

    STOP THE MADNESS.

    PS: Love you Chrisy. :kidcool:
