this is nonsense! Pac has been fighting excellent challenges non-stop for 6 years now. but he has NOT been fighting the BEST! as others have illustrated regarding DLH, David Diaz etc.

why does pac get all this credit for moving up to fight DLH when Floyd moved up to fight DLH too... and beat him before Pac!

also i guarantee if Floyd were to fight cotto and beat him quicker than pac everyone would be screaming that Pac ruined cotto... but no one is screaming that in regards to the Hatton fights.

What roll of good victories was DLH on? He got KO'd by Hopkins almost 3 years prior, beat Mayorga, then fought Floyd.

    TOTALLY agREED...

Even Pac's BIGGEST Fans DON'T Beat their Chests Over the David Diaz Win...Roboto's Sniffing GLUE Apparently...Floyd BEAT Dela @ a More COMPETITIVE WEIGHT (For Dela), yet he Gets ZERO Credit for it...He KO'ed Hatton BRUTALLY, yet Gets ZERO Credit for it...

& U're Right, If Floyd Fought Cotto Next & Beat him QUICKER than Pac, he'd Get ZERO Credit for it...The BLATANT HYPOCRISY & DOUBLE STANDARDS R Comical:lol:...

REED has Been Labeled a Floyd "Nuthugger" & will Undoubtedly Get Accused Being a Pac HATER B 4 it's All Said & Done, but the REALITY is, REED is MORE HONEST & OBJECTIVE about the Both of them that the VAST MAJORITY of this Site is...

the sad part is people are going to take these statements as an attempt to denigrate Pac's recent wins - and they aren't! it's simply an attempt to put things in perspective and give some deserved credit to floyd for his wins that most fans simply refuse to acknowledge as excellent wins!

BOTH fighters have been fighting excellent challenges recently, BOTH are on a string of pretty impressive wins, NEITHER guy is ducking each other and that is why this is the fight of all fights right now

I don't love Pac or anything, I appreciate him. Im just not going to beat him up for fighting David Diaz when you consider everything else he has done in the last 6 years.

Pacman started his career at flyweight, and in reality is probably a natural featherweight.

Floyd is a bigger man than Pacman, significantly so.

Is it that fucking hard to understand?

Pacman fighting and thrashing Oscar, Hatton and Cotto is more impressive than Floyd doing it because Pacman is smaller than Floyd. Do you understand now?

Seems simple enough to understand, logic has no place here though.

Never mind the fact that Floyd has been fighting at 147+ for 6 years. 6 years ago Pac was fighting at 126 fucking pounds! To compare what Floyd has done and what pac has done as if they are the same size is just stupid.

    :shit::shit::shit:

Manny was 16-17 when he started his career. If you think about it, Floyd was fighting around that weight too, but in the amateurs. You can say Manny is a natural Featherweight if you want I guess, if you really think that much lesser version of him is the natural Pacquiao.

Oh yeah, Floyd's a natural Super Featherweight in that case.

Manny was actually fighting at 126 still as little as 5 years ago. Where was Floyd competing 5 years ago? Oh, that's right 147.

I understand. That's not my point - they are all impressive wins!

Floyd moving up to fight DLH at 154 was impressive, Floyd fighting undefeated Hatton and dominating him is impressive, and imo Floyd shutting out Marquez is at least somewhat impressive.

the way you guys talk, Manny deserves all teh credit in the world for moving up (agreed very impressive considering he was a feather) and beating these guys

yet Floyd is "ducking everyone, only fights bums, is a disgrace etc" when he fought those same fighters too!

He didn't move up as far, but he moved up to beat DLH before Pac, and he beat up Hatton before Pac. I think that should count for something....

    do you understand?

Floyd has had 5 fights at 147  ... Do we have to wait for Manny to fight 4 more times at the weight so that he stops being soooooooooooooo much smaller than the gigantic Mayweather?

Manny IS smaller than Mayweather, that is a FACT, not an opinion.

I know he won the Michigan State Golden Gloves at 112 pounds around that time. But really, this is getting silly. Floyd fighting DLH at his best weight and fighting and undefeated, rolling Hatton is shit but Manny getting them later is the greatest thing ever because he's smaller, super. :shit:

The difference is certainly not big enough that one can be trashed for fighting X boxer and the other hailed as the greatest thing ever for beating the same guy. That is a FACT.

See, it's not that you want Floyd to get any credit, it's that you want him to get MORE.

He won a toss-up with a passed-his-prime DLH after he got KO'd and beat Mayorga in a 3 year span. Take that for what it is, if you're going to discredit Pac's win against DLH. I totally agree that DLH was zapped against Pac.

Floyd made Hatton come up a division to fight him and impressively KO'd him. Pac fought Hatton at his natural weight, and brutally KO'd him in 6 minutes.

I think we're going circles here. I think both deserve the same amount of credit for different reasons, that's the bottom line and that's where we disagree.

BOOM! There it is. AGREE completely with this post.

It is when they try to COMPARE resumes in the last 6 years, that Floyd fans get into trouble. They try to compensate where Pacman's body of work speaks for itself.

PLUS Floyd has never fought a welter with the CALIBER of a Cotto, a fighter who was backpedalling and dropped twice after 6 rounds.

The only thing that will be proven when they fight, is that Pacman IS smaller but he'll be the STRONGER of two.
