Keep in mind that I don't check my emails unless someone tells me they sent me something. Sunday I was out of town and got back late. I also work fulltime. Guys, cut me a bit of slack. I work, and as soon as I get home, I have a very young child to look after.

I'm busy but I try to handle stuff as soon as I can.

Whoever has the time to post it first can PM the rest of us they are taking care of it and it will get posted. It might not get edited properly (hell you'll be lucky if I even read it LOL!), but it should get posted.

My e-mail is david@pugilistica.com if you don't want to PM it or want to send it in a Word file. I don't have Excel so don't send it in that format.

Speak for yourself. I spent a good chunk of this morning working on MTF's article because the site article posting software has so many glitches. I've posted his and Reed's articles in the past few days along with fair use photos which I looked around for, and I'm systematically eliminating the Russian spambot that keeps rearing its head.

 

And he's got a full-time job, a kid, and cuts more trees than Paul Bunyan.

Hmm...previous places I've written for have a pretty strict idea on what they look for and hope to provide to the readers.

Was just trying to guage...but tis of no mind.

 

As of now, this is a fan site. We've had very little content in years. If we can do something different and provide eloquent fans with a place to hand in quality material, that's a win for us.

I'm not going to pretend I have a journalism degree................I don't. I'm not going to pay Michael Katz or Thomas Hauser a salary. If Tam Tam, REED, MTF, Jaws, Karl or anybody else I've forgotten to mention wants to write something incisive, interesting, funny, thought provoking, or informative; and wants it published on FightBeat in return for zero pay........................I'm going to be goddamn flattered and appreciative that somebody took the time to contribute to this website.

Maybe in the future we can afford to pick and choose and be more discerning about the structure of our content. Maybe in the future we will be getting paid a shitload of money for banner ads from a promoter and will have to go out of our way to kiss their ass be careful what we say about them in our editorial content. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

Well the body is finished anyway. Just have to proof it and do some editting afterwards.
