Lennox Lewis, Chris Byrd, Wlad Klitscko and John Ruiz. Those were the heavyweight champs at that point, were they not? It certainly seems more than arguable that Ruiz was the worst of that bunch...not to mention that guys like Corrie Sanders and Vitali Klitschko were contenders.

Ruiz was perhaps top five. Perhaps not.

There's no real right answer there.

There is no shock Pac took the fight. Again, he fights the best and this fight is a no brainer for him. Money's (i want) muscles of course needed the 2 days Arum traveled to try and spin that into Manny trying to get out of the fight, and how if Floyd did this and that it'd be WW3.

Now Mayweather gets what he was wishing for.

“He’s been trash talking too much and I want to put a stop to it. I don’t want kids who are watching us to emulate him,â€￾ said Pacquiao.

Pacquaio doesn't stand idly by and ADDS fuel to the fire. Since Mayweather's style is not BROAD based fan friendly, he ALWAYS relied on PERSONAL attacks and brash boasting about his skills while AVOIDING the best fighters in his own division.

A Mayweather fight can't be nothing but PERSONAL.

I don't remember anyone saying that. I think most people thought the negotiating would fail, not that Floyd was scared of Manny. That is crazy talk, and I'm considered a "Floyd hater" around here.

What all those clowns failed to relize is Floyd goes where the money is and he won't turn down 50 million ever...and he thinks he can beat Pac easily in his mind.

FUNNY. Mayweather agrees to terms FIRST. Then there is talk Pacquaio won't agree to fight, give election excuses or that he'll postpone fight. Pacquaio agrees to terms days later, but who we are talking about being fearless about getting in the ring? Why, it's Money Mayweather.

He's not crazy to give up possible TWO fights with boxing with crossover appeal sensation Pacquaio to earn $80 million!
