:: Slice nailed it. The truth is it's because it's the only disparaging nickname I could think of for Dawson, but also yes, because he is like a door. He is fairly wooden, both in personality and in the ring, a bit of a plank, and he fights without passion or gusto, hence - Doorson.
Dawson isn't the greatest fighter around but he doesn't have much in the way of glaring gaps in his game. Too bad though, otherwise it would be a great name. ::
