i'll say this about pascal. he has very fast handspeed and is very mobile on his feet. he punches hard but not so much w/ precision like dawson. he also has a bit of a herky jerky rhythm to his flow which makes him hard to catch consistently. i'd favor dawson to beat him, but that's about it. i'd like to see him fight glen johnson. that would be a stern test.
Pascal is a scrub,.. it's just that Diaconu, is unjustly overrated, ever since his fight with Rico Hoye, that had the commentators SCREAMING and I mean SCREAMING,.. "BRUTAL, BLOODY, VICIOUS" ..because he looked crisp and compact beating up a willow branch, .. Tyson! oh my god! it's Tyson! it's Tyson!... .. but just like Tyson,.. when you up the opposition,.. well, we know what happens.
Lots of Bummishness going down up North in Candida land right now.....Pascal went to England and lost to Carl "Who the" Froch, so I dont hold out much hope for him. And then there was that welfare scrounger who nearly lost to Librado Android....except the referee messed that up, but no it wasn't Guiseppe Cortez.
I waited to download this fight and I thought Diaconu won pretty handily. Pascal was tired after 3 rounds! As the taller guy no jab from Pascal, he waited for Diaconu to get inside and tried to do nothing but counter and pot shot, meanwhile Diaconu was landing and racking up rounds. In some of these rounds where Pascal was on the offensive he got tired and was getting outworked by the end of the round, and this is what happens when you have no plan B. No need for the antics. I dont see how Pascal wins by such wide scores let alone win at all.
I guess it's better to lose to Ross ''the Great' Purrity, then, you got the making of an all time great
I dont need glasses 20/20 here. I have both fights in my collection, I would upload them here if people want to actually see it not just act like they did. The fact that the judges scored this fight more wide than the first fight suggests it was an easier fight and it is obvious that was not the case.
Pascal fought a scrub called Paul Smith in the final of the Commonwealth games in Manchester, England, 2002, and your description sounds pretty accurate. He gets tired and likes to do very little for large stretches. In the mean time, Smith, whom he barely beat, is a noted non-puncher who is barely up to British Title level.
Or being beaten up by Max Schmelling, then you got the making of an all time great.:atu: Be fucking real man.......dont get offended so easily.
I didn't care much for Pascal given his fight with Pittman and not fighting Miranda afterwards, but I liked his war with Froch. He beat Diaconu the first time without question, but it is obvious to me Diaconu outlanded Pascal in this rematch, Pascal fought Diaconu's fight most of the time and when there was space he did not use his jab and allowed Diaconu to dictate the pace. Fights arent judged on who looked more bruised at the end.
