Gosh damn you are one fucking idiot. Pacquiao fought fighters who made him more money and helped his legacy more than fighting guys with legitimate world titles. That is obvious and I've conceded it plenty of times.

He WASN'T a world champion at featherweight. IF he wanted to claim that much FOR HIS LEGACY, then he should have fought and beaten someone with that title on the line. Instead, he fought someone who most everyone would concede was better than any of the title holders.

Being THE GUY isn't always being THE CHAMP. It's not that hard to understand if you weren't so gosh damn stupid.

i know these sports should be able to co-exist because they are different, but i would love to see a credible boxer go to MMA and see what he can do. I also would love to see the vice-versa.

would love to see Cintron and Toney try it out. i am not a big fan of MMA, i like the super matchups but the sport doesn't really interest me anywhere near as much as boxing... this would make me watch with a great deal of interest.

Toney is old and shot.I f you have been paying attention to UFC's recent signings then it's a forgone conclusion that the UFC will sign him up.

Nor do I have a problem with people disagreeing with my viewpoint.

I do have a problem with morons who not only can't understand my viewpoint despite many attempts at clarification and then proceed to misstate my views or intentionally state them out of context. This I think you've done with regard to the "legacy" comment. Reed does on pretty much everything I say that he disagrees with, but I write that off to him being a pretty dim bulb.

I'll do a little more clarification for you on the Pacquiao legacy comment. Pacquiao shouldn't be considered a world champ at 126 because he didn't beat a reigning world champ WITH a title on the line. I agree that I'm being nitpicky, and I also agree that he has a lineal claim. So, if someone wanted to state that Pacquiao won world titles at x weight classes and an additional lineal claim at 126, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I don't give a rat's butt if you consider a lineal claim to be more important than a world title. It usually is. But not always. A world champ can have a non-title bout. You can beat a world champ and not win his title. Likewise, you can beat a guy who should be the champ, but has relinquished his belt or been stripped. But when you beat such a fighter, you don't win something that wasn't on the line...a world title.

That sanctioning bodies strip titles from fighters when they shouldn't is not something I like or defend. But, a lot of the time, it isn't their fault...a lot of fighters drop the belt to save money or refuse to play by the sanctioning body's rules in asking for an interim bout/voluntary defense.

I don't remember what the exact case was with Barrera/Pacq, but I don't think the sanctioning bodies screwed up. I think the fighters didn't want to pay for sanctioning. Anyone remember?
