The crying episode when he obviously didn't train hard for Vitali was disgusting too. I get angry just thinking about that loser. Even if there aren't more qualified applicants, forget heavyweight until there are.
Back in 2000, I used to laugh it up and make fun of a lot of British fighters at BoxingPress because of the perceived skill/talent level between them and their American counterparts (Lennox doesn't count; he's Canadian). "However"... (Copyright Muzse 2000) I usually take boxing discussion fairly seriously and don't clown around like that now. I usually acknowledge a fighter's skills even if I can't STAND the way they act in public (Floyd, your ears might be burning). For example, I think Floyd will beat Pacquaio, but his fame persona gets on my nerves (I hope it's an act). I met a couple of pros here in Ottawa (I use the term loosely). One was 0-7 as a featherweight. I honestly laughed when I was at his place watching Toney-Holyfield one time and said to him, "Jesus Christ, dude, couldn't you at least beat ONE?" :: BTW, there's no way on the planet that I thought Toney was gonna beat Holyfield.
I thought Vitali looked slow as shit against Arreola.........you know, slower then usual. I saw a bit of a downhill slide even with the HBO guys slobbering all over his "masterful performance" against Mexican Foghorn Leghorn. Even my 15 year-old who barely watches boxing recognized the irony in his last name almost immediately.
