Drive in the final stake. I thought we were going to see boxing make a huge comeback, if this fight happens I almost want it to die!

Sorry, but the people involved in this have not just themselves riding on this, but the whole sport.

Is the PED-tastic nature of the UFC lost on you?

The UFC doesn't have to put on a free card but you best believe they will have something on the same evening.

It's not about the PED it's about Manny not taking the tests and killing the fight. The fighters in the UFC might fail their test, but they will at least take them.

I want them to do it for free because it will have a much larger audience drawing away from the other fight.

If the intent is just to take a 'shot' at boxing i would agree. However smarter business sense would to be make a solid card on PPV. That way they can generate a lot of revenue and still basically do the same thing by saying the UFC offered better value.

I think someone needs to take a shot at boxing over this mess. Actually every news article is taking shots about this right now all over Manny taking shots of HGH.

MMA must be dying. No time soon is Brock fighting Fedor.

Penn beating up Diego was pretty fun the other night. Funny thing is I was saying that Pac is the only reason boxing was still alive for the last couple years. If he does not make this fight I don't think it will make the comeback I was hoping for.

Maybe Wlad vs Vitali would do it.

Fedor is fighting BArnett btw next week much better than him fighting Lesnar.

No doubt this is really bad for boxing but your example is a good one.

More than ever. The audience is growing all the time. Strikeforce just put on a show the other night that was incredible.

My thoughts on this fight have been posted. Started out great, but then lost all drama for me when it was obviousl later in the fight there would be no KO. I caught all sorts of hell for saying that, but without the thrill of at least a potential KO I lost interest.

Actually, Dana White himself said he was looking forward to watching Floyd/Pacquaio. Although he's not really in a position to talk sh*t about anything considering he himself can't give fans fights like Machida vs Anderson or Lesnar vs Fedor.

So boxing is dead but UFC is doing a great job by matching Penn and Diego ??? That's just ridiculous, Penn-Sanchez was a shitty matchup on paper and turned out, unsurprinsingly, to be a mismatch, and all for the mere price of 50$.

The card sold over 600,000 PPV buys, so yeah, I'd say the UFC did a pretty good job.

it could have sold 1billion it wouldn't have made it a good card, same as JMM-PBF was a despiscable matchup despite selling twice as much. It reflect more on the idiocy of the ''fans'' that cards like these can do so well( thought I will pull a Bob Arum and say I highly doubt Penn-Sanchez did as well as advertised, as for PBF-JMM, I'm sure the buy rate wouldn't have been nearly as high without the Tecate massive price reduction shenanigans )

It's easier to find free streams of MMA than boxing.
