Why didn't Floyd accept $500,000 per successful blood test?

If Manny gets paid 500k for every test he passes, it´s only fair that Floyd gets paid for every pound he is below the weight limit. Since the penalty Pacquiao asked for is 10 million dollars per pound, Floyd should receive 30 million dollars from Pacquiao, if he weighs in at 144. Does that sound dumb? GOOD, because it´s as dumb as asking to be paid for passing a doping test.

The excuses Pacquiao/Arum come up with are really hilarious. To make a last point. Floyd is not delusional enough to think Manny will actually fail a test. He wants the constant distraction, the random testing creates during Pacquiao´s camp, IF he is cheating. And not the distraction of giving a little blood duirng a sparring session, but the constant fear of the next random test.

Oh, yes. The boxing community is a small one and I have no doubts in mind Floyd is quite aware of what goes on at Wildcat and just wants to make them squirm a little. Better watch your cycle before a James Toney gets pulled on you.

That is true, but it's still no reason to slander a man like the Mayweather camp has somewhat successfully done.

Good to have your objectivity back following your exile post Calzaghe/Jones.

Manny Pacquiao has never failed a drug test.

How is it that he's guilty?

If we were questioning how Bernard Hopkins at 43 is as strong as ever, would you same people be all over him?

You know what let's test him and make sure he's all what he says he is at 43. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I'll Holla 5000

Maybe they should be, jaws. You think Pacquiao is the only one people whispered about? Who was it that said, "They're drinking the fountain of youth over at GBP and it ain't water?"

Manny Pacquiao has never failed a drug test. Do you have a point? Because I don't recall Shane Mosley failing one either.

As for exile, I have no intentions of sticking around. However, this is an issue that's always been very important to me so while browsing these boards, I was dismayed at how people are putting their bias/personal preference over what's so obvious.

BTW, love how everyone conveniently ignored that ESPN article on the front page. Not shocking.

I agree, bigdawg. Line them all up, because they're all juicing up the whazoo. Again, it's hard to implement any new procedure if promoters don't play along. Which is why it's imperative that fans beat the drums to get GBP and Top Rank to agree to more stringent testing for this bout. I have no doubts that if these two superpowers agree, it'll be much easier to get the DiBellas and Shaws to follow suit. Poor GBP...what are they going to do when they realize the rest of their fighters have to submit to random blood testing as well? I sure hope they haven't signed Amir Khan yet.

The funny thing is based on spending habits and current worth, Mayweather Jr. is probably closer to working for a fried chicken joint himself.

What happens if Floyd takes the tests and fails the 5th or 6th one? We know the audience won't help, and he has no friends to ring...so.....

I don't think he cares about money.

He grew up without shoes and is destined to be a filipino dishwasher.

He already was about to pass the fight in favor of running for office prior to this mess. His legacy is cemented, he seems the type who honestly may not care. He may have a true longing for civic duty.
