    Check it out. Really funny.

    http://www.ringtv.com/blog/1484/the_ring_100/

Especially the rating of Froch 64th, who probably thought being undefeated and beating Taylor, Pascal and Dirrell was good enough to be ranked higher than Steve Molitor and not 40 spots behind Montiel, 30 behind Hatton, and 20 behind Khan.:laughing:

Linares is ranked 45th for a win over a brain-damaged Larios and a one round Ko loss to a total unknown.

Oh and Haye is ranked 68th, which means just three spots ahead of Denis Boytsov, who counts a decision over Vinnie Maddalone among his biggest wins. Boytsov is closer to being the #71 rated fighter in Germany than the whole world.

Where would you rank Froch and Haye?

Froch probably in the 25 to 30 range. Haye slightly lower, maybe around 30-35. I would actually have to rank all fighters to see where they end up, but certainly ahead of the likes of Montiel, Linares, Alexander or Khan and far away from Boytsov and Molitor. :notallthere:

The whole idea of doing a p4p list this big is ridiculous

Based on his cruiserweight achievements alone Haye should be a lot higher. If they are ignoring that because he is now a heavyweight, then Adamek ought to be a lot lower.

I opened this thread expecting it to be the top 100 list of the decade, that would have been interesting.

I can't for the life of me see Froch as being one of the 25 or 30 best fighters in the world. Thats frightening to me. Haye also, though I think David is probably a better all around fighter.

Don't disagree on your assessment of Montiel and co in comparison though.

I think the overall quality of boxing or elite fighters has dropped and when you consider the cold results it´s hard to not consider Froch and Haye somewhere in that range. It´s not always beautiful how they got there, but in the end they did. Jan Zaveck being a legit world champion and now in the top 100 of the best fighters brought a tear to my eye. That must be the overachievement of the last decade. I wonder who at the Ring Magazine was responsible for that ranking. Probably the same person, that ranked Boytsov.

There's always a place, even in the top bracket, for fighters lacking in obvious skill, but making up for it through their strength and toughness, both physically and mentally. Froch is a current example.

    Wasn't that ranking made pre-Dirrell?

I have the magazine but I can't be bothered to check.

I like that he leaves his left hand low most of the time and also how he throws uppercuts from long range. Both qualities of a good fighter..

True, and that has always been the case. Froch has some good wins and has not been beaten so maybe he would indeed deserve a higher ranking. That being said, this kind of rankings are bogus anyways

Ring Magazine is bogus. Vitali last lost in 2002. Since his last loss he has KO'd Kirk Johnson, Sanders, Williams, Peter, Gomez, Arreola and decisioned Kevin Johnson.

How he comes in at the bare 21 is beyond me.

Considering that the list of opponents is not exceptional (Wlad has beaten clearly better contenders) and that Vitali had a long layoff in between I can understand that ranking.

Froch and Haye's rankings are pretty odd. Especially Froch, who despite being nothing more than a gritty little bastard, has three pretty good wins to his name and holds arguably the most prestigious of the four world baubles...

I used to be a proper Frock hater, but sorry, having him that low is preposterous.

Especially people like Linares above him.

Linares is not only unproven, with no good wins, but has been KO'd in 1 round.

Frock has 3 solid wins and is legitimately undefeated.

The same Kirk Johnson who was soundly outpointed by John Ruiz years before his fight with Vitaly?

The same Sanders who was brutally knocked out by Haseem Rahman and Nate Tubbs years before his fight with Vitaly?
The same Williams who was bounced off of canvas 8 times by Sinan Samil Sam and brutalized by Julius Francis years before his fight with Vitaly?

The same Peter who got outpointed by James Toney years before his fight with Vitaly?
The same Gomez who got knocked out in under one round by Yankee Diaz years before his fight with Vitaly?
    who is Arreola?
    Who is Kevin Johnson?
How Vitaly managed to get in the top 500 is beyond me

Anyone who flaunts Vitaly's "resume" deserves to get slapped around, like we saw in the post above.
Vitaly is the bum-beater extraordinaire, there's no doubt about that, but the fact that he got knocked out the only 2 times he stepped up, and absolutely refused to fight the best fighters in the world, after being knocked out by Lennox, speaks volumes.
Sure, I can understand you want Vitaly to be ranked higher, because you enjoy seeing him sodomizing his own brother in those famous pics of theirs, but really, there's no reason to rank him within the top 100.

You need to correct your first point and I might consider re-reading it. Johnson was not soundly outpointed by your lover John Ruiz. He was DQ'd after Ruiz flopped on fake injuries. This is not an opinion. It is a fact. Please, if you cant troll properly, don't troll at all

At the time Kirk Johnson decided to foul himself out of his fight with Ruiz, 'The Quiet Man' was leading on all 3 scorecards--85-84,85-84,86-83. That is a fact. Please know the facts, next time you decide to talk about boxing.

Which part of my statement was "hate"?
The part where it said that Danny Williams had beed demolished by Sinan Samil Sam years before his fight with Vitaly? Or the part where it said that Danny Williams had beed soundly outboxed by Julius Francis, years before his fight with Vitaly?
Maybe it was the part where it said that Corrie Sanders was knocked out in less than 2 rounds by Nate Tubbs, years before his fight with Vitaly?
Maybe it was the part where it said that Gomez was knocked out in under 90 seconds by Yankee Diaz, years before his fight with Vitaly?
Maybe it was the part that no one ever heard of Kevin Johnson (one of the biggest victories on Vitaly's resume)?

All these are facts, not hate.

How about the part where Ruiz was schooled by a fighter 40 pounds less than him.

How about the part where Rahman was destroyed by Makaev before his fight with Ruiz?

Nah, how about the part where Serin (lol) was KO'd be Tony Thompson before his fight with Ruiz.

Wait, how about the part where Otis Tisdale was KO'd in the first round by Castillo way before his fight with Ruiz?

Or how about Golota being KO'd by Grant and an old ass Tyson before even getting to Ruiz.

Wait...how about getting totally schooled by short, old, and fat James Toney.

    And then there is...David Tua....

This can be done with any boxer you retard.

    Especially sorry ass Ruiz!! :lol::lol:

so, you agree that Ruiz and Vitaly are on the same level (with the exception, of course, that Ruiz beat a better level of competition)?

So Ruiz did not outpoint Johnson. Why do you have this need to blatantly lie?
