Valero's fighting Antonio DeMarco next month (in fact, a month from today) - and personally, I give DeMarco a very good chance of winning.
He's fighting next week, I think Monday or Tuesday, in Japan. His manager (Cameron Dunkin) insisted when he first signed him that he was one the best prospects he's ever picked up. It says a lot considering who Cam's managed through the years, as well as his eye for talent.
Kirkland wont be outta jail for awhile, and by time he is, he prob wont be the same, and El Perro will be burnt out by then. So that fight is a pipe dream.
Not to mention that Shaw will never be in a hurry to give Kirkland a payday, unless he's a zillion percent sure he has a horse that will run wild on him. I don't think Angulo will ever be that guy, not until he learns how to block a punch, anyway.
haye-adamek pavlik-williams pavlik-martinez williams-martinez II valero-marquez jm lopez-gamboa bradley vs. either maidana, khan, or alexander viloria (assuming he wins his next fight) vs. calderon chris john vs. robert guerrero i also would like to see the rematch between jorge linares against the guy who knocked him out in 1. if linares can reverse that loss, i'd like to see him fight either chris john or robert guerrero
He just failed tp make his first defence, beaten by takashi uchiyama by tko in the 12th...the vibe before the linares fight was that salgado was solid but ordinary - maybe linares can get a rematch now
:bears:I agree with this though others have claimed DeMarco to be ordinary. Valero will have to close the show early as DeMarco gets stronger as the fight goes.
Number of big fights Manny Pacquiao would be in if advanced and random blood testing were implimented in boxing tomorrow? ... 0 .. + immediate retirement.
