I'm sure he wishes he hadn't fought during the 'steroid' era.

The man upstairs gave Manny his gift for boxing, and he would be great without PEDs. And Roach trusts Manny's fitness coach completely, as the whole team has the most integrity in boxing.

Should Mayweather wait 12 years to fight a CREDIBLE opponent or just go ahead and fight Paulie or Nate Campbell level fighters for the rest of his career?

Would you prefer to Mayweather to go "Freitas"?

At least the guy quit in the RING while he was getting hit upside the head instead of REFUSING to get in...:dunno:

Just GET IN, that's all it's being asked of him. If he won't fight QUALITY opposition, he is more and more IRRELEVANT and should just RETIRE.

I know that for about 20% of posters or less, Floyd could keep fighting 140lbers at welter for the rest of the decade and it would be perfectly fine with them.

Next fews days should be interesting when the announcement is made as to his next fight.

I'll indulge. I believe he is now DECEASED. RIP.

But where is the correlation to that to what the CURRENT situation is? I know Mayweather fans have a real problem with the concept of TIME.

It's always giving LOUSY reasoning as to why he won't fight quality opposition under level playing field conditions. It's always what he has done in the PAST and what he WOULD do in the event the fight would be signed. But lately it's never he DID...

Didn't you just recently mention that Floyd hasn't fought decent opposition in 12 years? I believe that span includes Floyd's fight with one Diego Corrales.
Now, let me you ask the question again, FIGHTER.
What was the NAME of the fighter your hero quit against?

People are still induldging Dymi? Are you mad? This is a guy who recently argued with me that Amir Khan had a popular following in the UK because he sold 35,000 (no, there isn't a missing zero there- 35,000) PPV's for the fight with Kotelink.

    MTF

He didn't quit against Corrales. He quit against Diaz.

Exactly. When a fighter is able to sell out 35 000 PPV with an utter bum and a complete unknown, such as Kotelnik, there's no doubt about his popularity.
And, pray tell, how many PPVs was Hatton selling, when he was 22?

I think you could agree it was a LONG time ago...Your CHILDISH argument that Floyd had a masterpiece against a fighter who made Freitas quit has no RELEVANCE to the discussions of TODAY. NONE.

Everything boils down to carefully crafted resumes with carefully selected opponents and selling that to a portion of the public like YOU who just lap that shit up no matter who he fights.

You should be DISAPPOINTED Floyd hasn't stepped up in so many years and now is BLANTLY ducking the best fighter of the world.

But no, you make EXCUSES for him based on what he did 10 years ago.

The thing is though, had Freitas listened the count on canvas, nobody would be complaining. Yet when he got up and then told he didn't want to continue, he is a heartless quitter

No, I'm just trying to figure out if your statement that PBF hasn't fought any decent opposition in the last 12 years includes one Diego Corrales (who, accidentally, made your hero quit in the ring) is true or not.

He BEAT the Count, Stood in a Corner THEN Pulled the "NO MAS" as the Ref Motioned for them to Resume Fighting...Freitas Even Took a Step TOWARDS Corrales, then Turned & QUIT...

    HEARTLESS...

& ANY Poster that Spent YEARS DEFENDING a Guy like that (AND his Actions) has NOfuckingRIGHT Throwing Floyd Mayweather Under ANY Buses....That's the ULTIMATE in Boxing Messageboard HYPOCRISY...

See this is the world Mayweather sac swingers live in... It's like suspended REALITY.

It's a world that TIME has stopped and Mayweather doesn't need to do anything more to PROTECT his legacy.

Why can't you answer a simple question?
Do you still stand by your statement that PBF hasn't fought anyone decent in the last 12 years?
If yes, please explain why Aselino Freitas quit again "non-decent" Diego Corrales.
If no, please apologize to the forum members for lying.
    Thanks.

After pulling that shit off I threw Freitas under the bus and now I'm throwing Floyd under the bus for the crap he is now pulling.

If Freitas wanted to have Corrales Olympic tested, killed the deal and never gotten in the ring with Corrales and remained undefeated, he would have a been a BIGGER coward.

2004 was a good year but I prefer to be in 2010, thank you.

He quit in both. He was getting shit kicked by Chico though and quit after a knock down, not on his stool like in the Diaz fight.

I can understand that. What I don't get though is that when a fighter quits sitting down (Arguello, Morales or Tyson manner) it becomes more acceptable

Well, in those Instances, they had Lost Practically EVERY ROUND of those Fights...N Particular, Arguello & Morales were Being SHIT KICKED for the Duration...Conversely, Freitas was Arguably WINNING the Fight & was @ Worst EVEN, @ the Time of the No Mas...
