I like that Blackburn is using his jab effectively. Unfortunately he doesn´t seem to have a beard and that cost him the round. They are sucking that Sadollah kid hard on commentary; I thought he was losing that first round till he landed the punch that stunned Blackburn and he gets hit a lot again.

I like Saddolah. He needs work, but he has potential to be a decent fighter. Good win for him.

Of course. I want to beat Lawlor. Pinnacle took it out, Sportsbook down and of course Simpson now gets fucked up. What a horrible six weeks it´s been. :bangh::bangh:

Pretty good fight. It's a shame Lawlor ran out of gas, he probably could've put Simpson away.

That is a joke. How is that first round not a 10-8 round? What do you have to do? Kill a guy? They need to establish some better rules.

that was BS, and once again highlighted the joke that is MMA scoring.

The first round was the very definition of a 10-8 round. The second round was close....so a draw would have been understandable....but no way Simpson won that fight.

I think Lawlor deserved the win too, but I don't think the 1st round was 10-8. Lawlor gassed and didn't do anything the final 2 minutes or so. Had he done anything to finish the round, I would say 10-8 would've been justified.

Agreed. If you don´t have a count, what else can a fighter do to earn a 10-8 round?

so....you think Lawlor won the first round 10-9. And persumably you gave him the second 10-9. Yet Lawlor rocked Simpson on at least three seperate occaisions, coming very close to a stoppage, the ref was readying himself to jump in. So that was a 10-9 round. And you gave him the 2nd 10-9, when i can't off the top of my head recall either guy mounting much effective offense. Yet he's rewarded the same as he was after his first round efforts.

Another point. If you reversed the first round, so that after an uneventful first couple of minutes Lawlor finished the last 3 minutes as strongly as he actually did start....i don't think we'd be having this debate.

Maynard wins but wasn't impressive. This was a perfect example of two guys with no standup at all both trying to win by KO. It wasn't pretty.

Evan Dunham looked really good. To me he looks like a 145'er but very talented. Great show of adapting and perserverence. That arm bar was sick. Efrain is an idiot for not tapping. Evan was being nice too, he could have snapped that shit. One of the few times in my life I think I have agreed with Joe Rogan:doh:

Horrible fight with Maynard and Diaz. Maynard just doesn't get it. He has the tools. He just doesn't know HOW to be exciting. He has a heavy right hand. When he landed it he need to THEN go for his takedown. GNP the shit out of Diaz and get back up. Instead he engages in a 3 round stand up-pattycake match. You could tell he was so deathly afraid of Diaz's ground game. I am with you Adamiw. He doesn't deserve the shot. But the sadistic side of me wants to see him get raped by BJ.:hump::crafty:

I agree. He would be physically overwhelmed by other guys, and should drop a weight class, if he can, because he has some skills.

The Evan/Efrain fight was fight of the night by far. If that was on a PPV, Evan would have got sub of the night for sure. If you get a chance to see that fight on its own, check it out. I know you will dig that armbar Z.

But yes the rest of this card was pretty blah. The Simpson/Lawlor fight was entertaing but just reminded me of two guys pretty equally matched that really aren't talented enough to be in the UFC. Maynard/Diaz was bad. TFK put it perfect, too guys with horrible standup trying to win by KO. Just ugly.

What do you like about Ben Henderson? Is it is personality? He is definitely a likeable guy, he just has such mediocre skills IMO.

I heard the Efrain fight was good, I will definitely check it out. I just like Ben Henderson, not because he's great but he comes to fight and he just seems like a cool dude.

No draws makes it easier on the fans. 10-8 rounds are going to be very rare even if warranted.

Actually a three minute overtime in MMA is not such a bad idea. Simpson would have still won, and it would have saved him all the boo´s.

I think it's an excelllent idea. And I think it works well with 10-8's being given when warranted. It works well for mma fans not liking draws. And it works well since most fighters seem to have the stamina to go another 3 minutes.

the last tuf finale was brutal, even if it has dome decent fights. there was like 6 minutes of fighting in the first hour.

It was on the same night as Williams/Martinez, but I couldn't wath that as it wasn't showing here.
