This is better than the cards they put on Spike. Spike must be at least a little pissed.

You think Gonzaga could take Couture in a rematch? Couture is looking older, slower, and more fragile with each passing fight. Far more shot than their first meeting 2 years ago.

Great looking free card. Can't wait for the co and main. Questionable putting Ludwig on. Wtf's up with that. That guy sucks.

agreed, Ludwig hasn't had a significant win in probably a decade. Very poor choice. The LW division is way too deep to give a t.v. spot up to Ludwig. Spencer Fisher will put him away quick in the first.

realistically, Jones should be #7 LHW. Anderson Silva has had one fight there and Jones is better than #8 and #9.

you guys know how big I am on Jon Jones. But call me silly, but I just think you need an actual win over a top 10 opponent before you get ranked in the top 10. I agree that he beats many of those guys, but shit. Don't put the cart in front of the horse.

Ludwig was getting wrecked in Strikeforce, I don't know why the UFC brought him in. I guess you do need those lower level guys though if you plan on grooming up and coming fighters. You can't throw everyone to the wolves. Ludwig is always in good fights though. Probably the same reason they brought Baroni back.

This is a great post/point Z. Never thought of it that way, but it makes perfect sense. They are good "name" wins for an up and comer to put on a resume and for the most part are in good fights.

Just a sidenote, Ludwig fought a friend of mine in Strikeforce, Lyle Beerbohm. My family workout at the same gym here in WA. Lyle made Ludwig tap out in a Strikeforce match with a headlock. No shit. A headlock. No strikes, couldn't choke him with it, just squeazed the shit out him and Ludwig tapped. It was pretty pathetic if you ask me. Lyle told me he Ludwig felt very weak.

Fancy Pants is a pretty good fighter. Haven't heard anything about him in a while though. Does he have a fight coming up?

His fight with Miller was probably without exaggeration, the worst performance from a fighter I've ever seen. He even managed to lose the striking game, where he is supposedly "world-class" and got rocked and then finished. Absolutely abhorent, I may turn the channel when this fight comes on, I have no interest in seeing Ludwig fight again.

How come it seems like Gonzaga always tries to trade with guys instead of using his strength which is obviously his BJJ. The guy is world class in BJJ. He does have heavy hands but I hate it when ground guys turn into strikers. Much like Sean Sherk did.

Gonzaga could beat JDS if he can get him down. If he stands, I think he loses by KO. Good fight though.

The guy is as good as anyone on the ground. He is so strong for a LW its fucking rediculous. right now he is resting on a back injury. Strikeforce is calling him on every date. He has that "Zero" in his loss collumn (12-0) that gives promoters hardons. He will be back soon, he just wants his back to heal and not worry about it.
