Wow, this shit blew up in my absence. REED, no racial comments. Bammer, you've reciprocated with the comments regarding REED's racial background. We give our longer-time members a bit more leeway with the rules (which means both of you), but both of you cut it out with the racial stuff. Insult each other all you want, but do it within the rules. I can't go reading every thread because I'm trying to find out how I can revamp the frontpage.

I've gotten along well with both of you in the past, and Bammer I'm kinda surprised you'd go to those lengths, getting his Facebook and Photobucket accounts disabled. At this point, you both dislike each other and that's your business. If I see a violation of the rules, I'll have to deal with it since I am totally not interested in being involved or in taking a side.

Wow, that sucks. Still, a mod made a call on a rule and I have to abide by it. I'm not going to fault our mods for enforcing rules.

I'm actually saddened it went this far and REED had to end up getting banned. I tried discussing things with REED on a personal level but the guy just wouldn't listen and lashed out. Anyway, I hope REED comes back regardless. I don't want him to harbor any hate because of this incident, I know I don't.

 

What would that solve? REED took my photo and posted it on not one, but two websites when he knew it was illegal to do so.

I can't expect FightBeat mods or owners to do anything about it when REED illegally steals my property, so I have to defend my intellectual property.

Are you saying the moderation here is actually going to enforce some rules? I think Anthony banning REED was one of the most evenhanded things I've seen here yet.

 

Unfortunately Anthony I did not.

REED's pictures are probably all zero'd out. There were probably over a hundred. It is admittedly a small tragedy.

 

Trust me when I say there is a lingering feeling of guilt. Sometimes we don't realize what we've done until we've had time to consider what has actually transpired. Pictures of his daughter, cousins, and other relatives, all gone in the blink of an eye.

I know it sounds strange, but I have this eerie feeling about the situation, as if my hands are covered in a thin film of blood. Sometimes as men, we aren't proud of the things we've done, but we must accept them regardless.

Does that make any sense?

I really have to take time to think about what I've done to REED's online networks.

It's a horrible thing, conflict. Conflict is the gadfly of thought. It stirs us to observation and memory. It instigates to invention. It shocks us out of sheeplike passivity, but one has to wonder whether conflict and destruction are inherently connected or if they can be separated.

Slowly, I am beginning to realize the scope of what I've done, and there is a dirtiness about it.
