On April 17th on Showtime you got Kessler-Froch, and Ward-Green. And on HBO you've got Pavlik-Martinez, and Bute-Miranda.

    Halle please,.. :nono:

Two of those fights are somewhat even,.. but Ward - Green and Bute - Miranda are mismatches.

Martinez is in another fight where he needs a KO to draw.

I hope Green comes to fight. If he does his speed will give Ward problems.

After watching some more Allan Green fights, I quite like him actually. When he puts his punches together he looks very good. And there is no doubt he can punch, despite the unspectacular KO ratio against sub par opposition. He has a very nice left hook.

I haven't seen the Miranda fight though, only him KOing scrubs.

Obviously I don't think he'll beat Ward, but due to his power and decent speed, he has a realistic chance at pulling off the upset.

Green's Problem is CONSISTENCY & FOCUS...But the Talent is OBVIOUS...He's Not EXCEPTIONALLY Skilled or Speedy, but he has MORE than Enough to Get the Job Done on a World Class Level...AND, he's a TRUE Puncher...1 Well Placed Shot from Green can END a Fight...

Ward is gonna light him up like a Christmas tree. Though if Green somehow pulls the upset, I wont be that crushed. I'm not particularly fond of Andre Ward. But still.... he's gonna lay an ass whuppin on your boy.

If Froch, Pavlik, Green, and Miranda all lose on the same night(which is highly possible) I'll be so elated I wont know what to do with myself.

You're too respectful,.. I should have been addressed as 'Heidi' ,.. Illuminati is 'Vida' , it's our sellout code names :nono:. But you know, you have a great point afterall,..and I have to agree,.. Green is one of Reed's favourite fighters, so naturally, oo la la, naturally, I've got to take pleasure in his defeat,.. as for Miranda, he was one of the most hyped up fraud's in boxing history and now he's a paid gimp, he still has 16 losses in debt for the way he and his disgusting promotional company seared the eyes and ears of all fans concerned and conned alot of vulnerables,..so... yes, I agree with you,.. and,.. wether it was intentional or not,.. congratulations on your OWNAGE,.. I have been owned...and I will admit to it.

That scenario wouldnt shock me. I wanna pick Martinez badly. He has all the speed and skill to soundly outbox Pav.... but theres just something about Sergio. He has a tendancy to take his foot off the gas IMO. He beat Cintron CLEARLY, and I had him beating Williams slightly.... yet in both those fights I walked away thinking Martinez coulda done more. Maybe he has stamina issues, and if he fades vs Pav he's gonna be fucked cause Pav if nothing else keeps coming, and can always bang. Neither scenario would suprise me. I'm looking forward to that fight though!

Still.... Kessler-Froch is THE fight of April 17th!

i doubt martinez would be able to fight a perfect fight to last against pavlik.

miranda will lose for sure. i'm still not completely sold on ward, but green does have a puncher's chance especially at the early going.

I think Martinez has the chin to withstand Pavliks power and Pavlik will look like a neanderthal coming after Martinez.

I think the Williams fight is more difficult, because Paul is just as rangy and aggressive, only he throws a lot more punches than Pavlik. The equalizer is Pavliks power, but he's not a one punch guy, and I think Martinez has a good enough chin.

Martinez also looks pretty good at 160.

Maybe he did take his foot of the gas against Cintron, but he won that fight, its too bad it ended in a draw.

Kessler-Froch looks great too. I havent picked a winner yet.

Ward is going to embarrass Green. I have to admit, Ward is a lot better than I thought he was. He was really overhyped coming into the pros, but he's actually coming into his own now.

I agree, he is very quick for a super middle, without a doubt, much faster than Green.

It's weird that Andre is obviously one of those fighters where it took a fairly big fight to bring out the best of him.

Nobody was that high on him, but he looked fucking good dominating Kessler.

Carl the demented farmer Froch will beat Kessler, I don't know how, he shouldn't, but he just seems too stupid to lose.

Yep, he won't know when he's beaten, he'll just keep on farming, I mean fighting, until Kessler falls down.

He has the retard farmer strength and determination.

Wouldn't surprise me if Frock won to be honest. I know it was mainly Ward being better than we all thought, and having a great style to dominate Kessler, but Kessler looked pretty awful last time out.

The way I see it, Kessler is superior in terms of ability, but he is the epitome of a front-runner, Froch isn't that good, but he is gutsy and will give it everything, and has that self-belief. If he can get to Kessler early and shake him up, he could pull out a close win in a give and take brawl.

Dirrell is definitely faster than Ward. But Ward has more skills, and control.

I wouldn't say it as emphatically as Xplosive just did, I think Dirrell is probably marginally faster, but there isn't much in it.

Ward is damn quick. He looked quicker than ever against Kessler, maybe because Kessler was so ponderous, or maybe because Ward was just extra sharp and speedy that night.

Kessler-Froch has definitely become a more interesting fight. A yr ago it seemed like a mismatch. Now it seems as if Froch has a legit chance. But still I'm picking Kessler. He should be able to establish his jab on clumsy Carl, then once he does... the right hand wont be missing much. Theres only so much artilery Froch can walk through before it starts taking a toll on him. I like Kessler to win either by UD or late stoppage, though I fully expect Froch to give him tough moments.

I thought Sergio beat Williams as well, but IMO, Pavlik pulls this win out through sheer naked aggression and punch output.

I have a hunch he might as well. However, if he gets passed Martinez, then HBO is planning to match him with Bute. And Bute IMO will stop Pavlik.
