Rebel handles 95% of the problems on his website by himself and even though I don't agree with everything he has done, he does a pretty good job of getting rid of riff raff and cutting through the bullshit artists accordingly and still treats people fairly.

This site, we've got eight guys who between them couldn't organize a fuck in a brothel. Half of you are dead weight to the mod crew and the other half fuck up one decision after another. I have hope for this site since there are new owners and there is at least one new mod but the track record here has been a pile of shit for several years now.

 

I disagree. I had a number of issues with the way things were run there, so I cut back on my posting considerably.

If you really think it's all good there, that's your opinion but I can't say I've had that experience. I found it to be rather the opposite of what you've said.

I could get into particulars, but why bother? I don't post there much, and there's good reasons for that.

 

I do agree with you on the way he handled the Chi-Town dispute with you. It was kind of a hometown decision and partly because no one really knew the whole story. I was banned there in 2003 as well for some flimsy reason. I'm not a sycophant for Rebel or that site or I would still be posting there. I'm talking overall how things are run. I've had some serious concerns about fightbeat for quite some time now and like you, I don't have time to get into all the particulars. Like I said, I have hope for fightbeat under the new ownership and that's why I post here instead of there. Though I may post there again someday. There was no real reason why I stopped posting there.

 

The Chi-Town situation is a part of it, but also the fact that Rebel got really bitchy about it. That was his fault because he blindly believed whatever Chi-Town said as did a bunch of other people over there.

As a result, a group of forum members over there is usually lying in wait for anything I post, and they have this "gang-up-on-the-poster-while-sucking-each-other's-dicks" mindset there.

The funny thing is, he lied his ass off and a bunch of people there totally bought it. He can say or do whatever he wants, and he does no wrong in Rebel's eyes. For instance, in a recent thread, he brought me up in conversation. I responded, and the guy starts saying ugly stuff about my son---who's not even 2 years old.

Nobody there says anything about it, and nobody does anything about it...but the moment that I start to attack him back, which I haven't done but I think would be totally justified, I'd have a bunch of losers jumping in and saying derogatory stuff.

That's pretty shitty. I haven't posted there in months. The only problem I have over there is the EXACT OPPOSITE problem I have over here. And I have a stalker over there as well. Evertime I post you can bet that fucking loser "mark G." will post five minutes later saying something smartass. He is pissed off that I cheer for USA over Mexico in soccer. He and Mex Fighter. Then they're even more pissed off when I remind them both of them are free to go back to Mexico whenever they wish. :: It's one of the silliest reasons to have a vendetta against a poster I've ever seen but I just run with it.
