A battle of generations: Shane's daddy vs Shane's son. Boxing circles are often like Rock/Paper/Scissors though and so can we expect Oscar to knock Vernon out? I see De la Hoya by close decision.
:: so, in other words, you pick Vernon? I think ODH would have a lot of trouble with Forrest, which is probably why he never fought him. It's not like they weren't contemporaries. What's strange is that Vernon never called ODH out - not once that I can recall. For a guy in his shoes, that always struck me as strange. Either he knew ODH would never fight him, or he wasn't as confident as some of us that he could beat ODH.
De La Hoya is 1-1 with Mosley, as far as I'm concerned. He is no one's, "son." Each fight was excitingly competitive.
I actually agree. I had Oscar winning the rematch, and as far as I was concerned..Oscar was 5 rounds to 1 after 6 in the first fight and Shane swept the last 6 rounds. but most people here see Oscar as Shane's "son", figuratively, and so i was playing for the majority... That aside....who do you pick?
Based on what? A lot of folks thought Oscar should have gotten the nod in the second fight, and the first fight was hardly a blowout
The Forrest of the first Mosley fight woulda beaten Oscar. Does he get the decision is another question(as Muz alluded to).
