    Here we go again....:boohoo:

Harold Lederman was off that night and Lamps and Co were influenced by him too.

Floyd swept the first 5 rounds. The two point deduction rounds were his too and he also won the 11th IMO.

Floyd looked "uncomfortable" in that fight..doesn't mean he lost 7 rounds...

i was actually rooting for castillo to win that fight but thought he lost by a point or two. each fighter had points deducted at one point, but the round where mayweather lost the point, i thought he actually won the round as opposed to the round where castillo had a point taken off, i scored it a 10-8 for mayweather which could've been the deciding factor on my scorecard.

i do admit that the official scores were kinda ridiculous. either way, it was a close fight.

the rematch wasn't a complete blowout either, but i thought mayweather won 8 rounds to 4.

I went back and counted every punch of every round and Floyd won. Castillo could not land he threw a lot but missed.

Heres the thing about that fight even if you think he lost the fight he went right in there with Castillo and beat him convincingly. Most guys take the gift decisions and run.

That's why it's so wrong to suggest that Floyd ducks challenges. He simply didn't have to fight Castillo again..but he did because he knew that HBO and a few others thought he lost. He went back in with a better Castillo and beat him more easily...:kidcool:

It's like the RJJ/Tarver fight RJJ/PBF never get any close rounds because they usually outclass their opponents.

Yea I hear you.. I clearly had Roy winning 7 rounds in fight but like you said people seem to give the other fighter the close rounds in the fight because they were dominating their opponents so easy and that is what happen with Floyd in that first fight with Castillo..

well idk how you could score Roy/Tarver 1 for Tarver. The rounds were easy to score, and Roy won 7 rounds fairly clearly I think.

Floyd/Castillo I is a toss up. The rematch was not, Floyd won handily i thought.

My overall impression after watching the fight was that Castillo had won.

However i've never actually scored the fight round by round. It doesn't really matter enough for me personally to revisit it. I've never had any major issues with the decision.

Haven't watched it in a while. I do remember thinking that Castillo had won, but as others have said, PBF re-matched him & won clearly.

I think it all boils down to how you score the two point deduction rounds.

harold Lederman gave them both to Castillo. I gave them both to Mayweather..seeing them as CLEAR Mayweather rounds.

That's a variance of 4 points right there.

I also scored the 11th round for Floyd.

Castillo CLEARLY won the 12th round and that's the lasting impression of the fight..but round for round, Floyd won at least 7.

I rewatched this fight a couple of weeks ago and some things I noticed:

-Mayweather was more aggressive than he is now, and moves alot more than he does at welter.

-Mayweather was willing to stand and trade when he felt he was losing the rounds, especially the last two rounds

-I thought Castillo edged out the decision (but Floyd has an argument for the win), and that point deduction on Castillo was really questionable.

The second point makes me think more about the Mayweather/Mosley fight. Will Floyd trade with Shane if he feels he's down on the cards? He has it in him, but its been 8 years since he's had to do it, and Shane is much more dangerous than Castillo was.

Its a possibility since I notice Floyd doesn't move as much as he used to at the lower weights.

If you know how to score a fight its clear, CLOSe...BUT CLEAR. 8 rounds to Marquez easy maybe even 9...but there is no way pacquio won more than 5 rounds...its absurd to think so.

Is this a fact, an assumption, or just a baseless statement to make PBF look better?

I scored it for Floyd, can't remember exactly but it was by a point or 2.

It was a strange fight, I felt Castillo got the best of it that night, but scoring it round by round I can't find a way to give it to him.

    Floyd won.
