To be honest don't know much about Alexander. I've seen him fight once but I've seen Urango fight at least 3 times. Urango is a swing for the fences kind of dude, I see him as a gate keeper so this will obviously be a test for Alexander. We'll see how Alexander deals with a guy who continually pressures, takes everything thrown his way, and has power. If Alexander is chinny this fight could be a disaster for him. On the other hand he has a chance to really shine here if he can dominate Urango and do it without running and clinching the whole fight.
alexander's power is winky wright'esque. he hits hard enough to get your attention and wear you down, but not enough to knock people out. i'd be impressed if he stopped urango.
well we know he hits hard enough to make you quit. He commits more to his punches than Winky and throws more combos too.
yea, he was literally a second or two away from being knocked out. urango is usually tough and durable. that was truly a testament to bailey's power!
winky in his younger days often overwhelmed his opponents and won via stoppage . devon can commit all he wants. he landed what appeared to be a picture perfect hook on witter that failed to drop him. he's obviously not a puncher.
This prediction may very well come back to bite me in the ass, but fuck it. I'm calling a Urango knockout. I've seen at least 10 of Alexander's fights and have been pretty much underwhelmed every time I've watched him. I can't for the life of me understand why people believe he has Mayweather-esque potential. This dude strikes me as being mediocre in every sense of the word. Urango is no great shakes, but I still think he's strong, durable, and powerful enough to wear down and catch Alexander, who I find to be ordinary. :fightme:
Berto is still a good fighter. He just needs to work on his craft and develop more....and just so you know the reason Devon got the KO was because Urango pushed harder than he was willing against the harder punching Berto and got himself caught between punches because of it.

Well George Forman shit all over the Kentuckian fraud Clay......by some of y'all twisted logic. I guess Hatton's career must now be reappraised in light of Devon Alexander having stopped BOTH Witter and Urango.....:shit::shit::shit: And Berto, who was only signed to fight Mosley before the earthquake....is now a scrub......because Pearl Diver finally ran out of air.
agREED... But Alexander's DEFENSE in the Pocket was Perhaps even MORE Impressive than that Beautiful Uppercut...He EVADED a Left from Urango, Landed his Own Uppercut, then Evaded a Wild Right..."Hit & DON'T Get Hit" @ it's FINEST... REED:hammert:
No the reason Urango got KO'd was because he's had about 4 or 5 fights in a row where guys did nothing but bounce 100's of punches off his head while he threw wild lunging shots that hit mostly air. The rd that ended before Urango got KO'd I saw him go to his corner and I noticed he was blinking his eyes a lot. Next thing you know the bell rings and a few seconds later he gets KO'd. It's no wonder the ref stopped it when he did because Urango was still blinking heavily after the second KD. Urango doesn't get nearly the criticism he deserves. Let's face it, the dude is absolutely horrible. I think Zab Judah would have outboxed Urango too. Urango makes Mayorga look good.
Stylewise I'd probably pick a prime Judah over Alexander. At this point though you'd have to strongly favor Devon.
