RD 9 Diaz lands a few in the corner with the help of an elbow. Soto still crisp, nice 5 punch combo taken on Diaz's gloves. GREAT punches by Diaz in the corner, best of the night by him. Soto jabbing and Diaz aggressive. Nice flurries by both to end it, giving it to Diaz by a whisker. 88-82 Soto
Can someone please explain to me why the only time you'll ever see Soto fight is on PPV undercards. The guy never fights on HBO or Showtime so I never get to see him anymore. Arum's always slapping him on one of his PPV's.
As the fight gets near i'm getting this feeling that Pacquiao is going to get KnockTheFuckOUT........but NO...it's Clottey is the opponent. Clottey could have Pacquiao wobbling for 3 minutes and just let him survive...till the bell..losing 11-1 decision..
RD 10 Soto slips. Both guys opening up a bit now, Diaz needs to keep it up but those counters make him hesitate a bit. Diaz punches Soto under the top rope. Soto looking a little gassed. Diaz nice uppercut inside. Soto countering but on the gloves. Just lost that one on my card 97-92 Soto
You're not missing much. Soto is dull. He's one of those incredibly frustrating fighters to watch, a good fighter, but one that fights with no spark or passion.
RD 11 Soto still crisp here, landing nice jabs and countering. Soto lifted a bit, but Diaz barrels him into the corner, and then gets owned for his trouble. Pretty boring fight this, Diaz can't really solve the puzzle and Soto just doing enough to take rounds.. 107-101 Soto.
RD 12 Diaz trying but Soto too crisp and fast. Low blow by Diaz, accidental. Soto opening up now, so does Diaz and lands a couple. Soto flurries again. Diaz trying but coming up with a fist in his face in return. Soto gets a KD on Diaz. Fight over, shitty undercard, let's go main event. 117-109 Soto
I guess so. Everytime I picture him I think of the guy who absolutely destroyed Rocky Juarez, but that was years ago. I'd just like to see him fight again.
Deion sit your punk ass down..... Clottey would be the first black man Pacquiao has face in over 8+ years.... Oohhhhh god dammit loss my stream again...
OK ring entrances now - Clottey! Place goes dark...ominous....drums starting - montage of boxing greats etc. Apparently "this is epic"
Here we go, Clottey enters wearing a red gown with silver piping - highlights of his big fights. He looks a bit nervous but nothing special.
