Jim Lampley is shot. :shit:It's funny and amusing when Larry Merchant shows how shot he is, but with Lampley it is just annoying. He did pretty terribly over the past year and especially now.

 

I was just laughing during that.

Lampley is such a drama queen.

 

You just know Emanuel Stewart wanted to smack him.

 

Lampley should have said..ROIDS! ROIDS! ROIDS! ROIDS!

 

Yeah but not just for that. They were arguing the entire fight. It was a very poor broadcast by the announcers. Max did the best but he initiated a lot of the bickering.

 

that was pathetic, I was ashamed for him

 

Stewart was awfull, for the first rounds he kept on saying how this was going Clottey's way and that he was hitting Pac way more than his past opponent did when he was barely throwing a punch let alon hitting anuthing.

 

Yup. I just kept thinking 'Really?' every time he yelled 'BANG!'. And he just wouldn't stop.

This makes Lampley's top five worst broadcasting moments.

Up there with "Look at Oscar!!! He wants to fight!!! Oscar punctuates the round with an eight punch combination!!!!!"

I watched the Sky boardcast so didn't see this yesterday.

Just watched the youtube clip, fucking hell, that was embarrassing, but incredibly funny, in a cringey way :: ::

 

Try and understand Lampleys preDICKament...he is working for a broadcasting house that has just charged the paying public for the privilege of watching Joshua Clottey show up for a payday. Lampley has to make something of it. Here is Clottey, with the ear-muffs on for 12 rounds...Lampley has to make out that there is a reason {other than wanting to survive} for this non-show. So he starts to make out that Pac is dominating the guy with hurtful body shots to the noggin and the guts, and that Clottey is barely hanging on in there against this onlsaught. Bang! Bang! That's how it is...these guys have to come up with a scenario other than the truth, because the truth is that Pac fought a guy who came to hide.

 

He was trying to out-do himself when he chanted, "Power-shot, power-shot, power-shot...that's Felix Trinidad..."

 

That's made my day....that was hilarious.

Do you think that was utterly spontaneous, or did he have that planned?....i don't know which is more worrying.

I don't think that was all of it. It was worse when put into perspective. Also, the audio was off a bit on the youtube clip, I think.

Maybe "Bang" is Tagalog for 'blocked'?

 

Preach it Musze, preach it. Pea won a close fight but was robbed by hbOSCAR, the house fighter.

 

I'll going to watch the whole HBO broadcast, so I'll see it in all it's glory.

Kellerman: Devon Alexander stays in the pocket and beats both of these guys in the same night using black southpaw magic and a stiff right uppercut. Devon Alexander would not hold...I repeat, he would not hold...he would not hold, like somebody we all know but whom I wont mention as he may make a comeback on a HBO card and I really dont want to end up back on ESPN so I will shut the fuck up

Lampley was way too emotional saturday night.

 

yea that was pretty awful and annoying. i wonder if kellerman and steward looked at him funny.

 

Steward seemed to be testy and irritated at the two earlier in the fight when he was talking about Clottey landing clean shots while Kellerman and Lampley were talking about Pacquiao's workrate.
