I have to agree with this, I don't see how this can even be debatable. In my opinion Floyd has almost zero chance of beating Manny. Manny is the one who's beaten top welterweights.

IMO trying to determine how good Floyd is at 147 is still a question mark because much like Clottey, Floyd has chosen to play it safe lately and make money rather than prove himself and enhance his legacy. There's just no real reason to think he'd beat Manny unless he absolutley dominates a sharp looking Shane Mosley.

This fight must happen. It's an incredible and once in a lifetime matchup. I think Floyd wins a 8-4 type of decision but it will not be easy. After the Marquez drubbing (with a two year layoff), I think PBF is up to the task. If this Mosley fight is a somewhat war, it could slow down PBF enough for Pacquiao to beat him. PBF needs to be unscathed after May 1.

    Yeah but...

When have you last picked Floyd to win a big fight? Did you pick him to beat either De La hoya or hatton. Are you picking him to beat Shane?

i dont get how beating old man withers who is being silly overrted since his win over marg, is a that big a win for mayweather?

picking mosely as an opponent NOW, is as calculated as all his previous opponents.

No matter who Floyd woule d've fought this post and this feeling would be present on Floyd's haters. Mosley is coming of perhaps the best performance of his career. Everybody was saying after the fight that Floyd wouldn't fight him. Guess what, Floyd fights him and we get the same shit again.

Mosley is the best challenge by far at 147 not named Pacquiao or Mayweather.

Why would I not have picked Floyd? When was the last time he fought anyone we thought had a chance of beating him? I'm not like you were I pick against a fighter every fight because I don't like him. I stick to the facts regardless.

That said, I don't even hate Floyd. You mofo's need to learn the difference between hate and criticism. Do I hope Floyd loses to Shane? Of course I do, Shane's my favorite fighter. Do I hope Floyd loses to Pacquiao? To be honest I don't know. I think I might prefer Manny, but if Floyd wins I wouldn't really give a shit that he beat Manny. I have mad respect for Floyd's skills, I just wish he tried to prove himself as the best at every oppoutunity.

This poll is why the fight must happen.

Assuming this forum is somewhat of a microcosm of the boxing public...fans are evenly split on this one.

I haven't seen a BIG FIGHT with such an even split of picks in a very long time. VERY LONG TIME. Trinidad-Vargas springs to mind..but even that wasn't as big a fight.

Yeah it's evenly split, as it should be I guess. I much "prefer" Pacman as a fighter but think Mayweather has the tools to beat him.....and the reverse may be true too.

It will be much easier to pick once Mayweather fights Mosley.
