I suppose it's a good start but "reviewing" policies doesn't mean there will be any changes for the better.

    Also that's only the NYSAC.

Nevada is pretty much all that matters for big time fights.

Excellent. Call me cynical but Im reading 'we want the most lucrative fight to go ahead this year so we're gonna upgrade our testing in a way that appeases both fighters and allows both to save face'.

Best thing that could possibly happen. Lets get this fight on!

I have no idea when it comes to this, but how much additional cost would go into Olympic Style drug testing as opposed to the standard drug testing they perform now? Obviously, for the big fights, it would have minimal impact, but what about for the small clubs fights?

A guy by the name of Gabe Laconte used to run frequent boxing shows in Newark at the Robert Treat Hotel, he ran them for about 20 years regularly, and some future champions like Arturo Gatti and Charles Murray came up through there, but a few years back he had to stop promoting because the cost of state health fees for all the fighters became too much. I'm sure most small boxing circuits are the same way. If you add an additional cost, how many of the small club circuits...where the champions of tomorrow will come from...will have to be shut down?

I'm all for making sure boxers are clean, but think of the big picture and the effect this could have on boxing from the bottom up.

    Good points.

My guess is if anything resembling Olympic style testing was implemented it would be only for title fights or eliminators at first.

Because Pac-May will only happen in Nevada. And as far as 2010 goes in boxing that is all that matters.

The KEY to this (As it Applies to the CLUB Shows) is that it'll B RANDOM...That Could Mean ONE Guy Gets Tested PER Club Show or ONE Guy Gets Tested Every FOUR Club Shows...

For the LARGER Shows, the Testing Should & WILL B More Frequent, but for the Smaller Shows the THREAT of Random Testing will Play a Larger Role than the Actual Tests Themselves...

Who the fuck can trust a boxing commission?..."No good cause for drug testing" ...it's no fucking wonder Arum's got a hard on for Pacquiao's fights all being in Texas,.. If I were Fraud I would stick to what he's doing by just putting the USADA into his negotiation contracts, and take all of the promoters cronies out of the equation. We've got evidence that Arum's not only got the Texas commission in his pocket, but Nevada aswell.

Mandatory advanced random drug testing implimented across all commissions, just wont happen in this filthy capitalist sport.

Golden Boy Does as Well...Basically, if U Have Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep Pockets, U Can LITERALLY Have your Way w/the Texas Commission...Meanwhile, the Lil' Ol' CLUB SHOW Promoter's that Employ REED have THE HARDEST Time Imaginable w/the Texas Commission...

Who would have thought that a simple tactic to negotiate his way out of a fight would be flipped into such a positive moment in Floyd's career by those who don't know any better. Good for him.

He didn't bring it to anyone troll. He added it to negotiations to get out of the Pacquiao fight.

And I doubt I"m as fat as your mother.I saw her in the backyard cooking Ramen noodles in a trash can and after she got done eating it ,she picked the garbage can up and drunk the seasoned water it was cooked in.Ya'll need to have a sit down/intervention and tell her there's know reason to damage her body like that:shit:

Floyd doesn't care about boxing, its fans or his legacy. He has said so himself.

However, if this had never been brought up, there would be no talk of change at all. So he does deserve credit. Whether or not you question the original motives (as I do).
