I have always respected Floyd's fight game, especially his defense. Everytime I watched him fight, I expected the natural counter puncher and defensive wizard he is.

I took it upon myself to watch a couple of his fights from over the years; such as Judah, Gatti, Castillo II, Ndou, Corrales and Genaro Hernandez over the past couple of days. I think those are some pretty solid fighters. Not to mention, I was in Dallas, Texas in '95 at the PAL Nationals when Floyd was just 17 years old (I lost in the prelims at 139) where he was easily the best boxer there (Antonio Tarver, Zab Judah, Zahir Raheem, Brian Adams and Lamon Brewster were amongst the big names there).

This guy can flat out fight! I mean, if you can put aside the hate and dislike of his attitude outside of the ring and be objective, I think you all can come to the same conclusion. Yes, he is a defensive master, yes he has great movement and footwork, but... This motherfucker really has a mean steak, he gets after guys.

Against Zab, he weathered the storm and got in his ass; against Gatti, who had the so-called punchers chance, he went after his ass and proved to be the puncher! Hernandez, Corrales, Ndou, you go down the list.

Although he has not been in desperate dire straights, he's tasted some power and adversity, bit down and took over. I have never seen quit in his eyes and I've watched him come forward even when a guy was not noticeably hurt.

I'm not going to say he's the greatest like he wants to say, but, he is a bad ass dude that does not get enough credit for his toughness and grit. In fact, I think he gets way too much credit for his boxing skills, which he deserves, but I find myself re-evaluating my initial thoughts of him after all of these years.

Exactly. The due is a fighter. He just happens to also have the skills to make fighting easy.

But in the ndou, gatti, judah and burton fights he was enjoying the combat.

No-one sensible is denying that Floyd can fight. Of course he can. In fact, he's very, very good at what he does.

It's just that he comes accross as a complete and utter bell end.

    Whatever....

Yes he beat the living shit out of Gatti...but then again who doesn't?

He look awesome against N'dou...good for him.

He got hit more than usual by Burton...I think he bleed his own blood in that fight..that kinda special..

His fight vs. Hernandez is one of my Favorite Mayweather fights....

I guess the protest is because not one of the guys you listed is a real welterweight. I know I don't, and I don't think anyone else has doubts about PBF's ability at 130,135 and even 140 (although he didn't face the best guys there either - that's for sure).

    But what about 147?

Whatever! He got owned by a shot inactive Oscar and fought like a f*cking pussy the whole 12 rounds cause he was scared of getting hit and laid out from 1 shot. There was no "warrior" in Fraudweather in that fight. He also was a pussy in the Baldomir fight. All he's done lately is fighting little guys at catch weights. Hatton and Marquez...both fights taking place well above their best weight class respectively.
Screw Fraudweather! Mosley is gonna light his pyre on May 1.

I give Fraud credit for the first I think 5 or 6 rounds verses Augustus,..he fought brave, and fought well,.. but when the heat kept coming he resorted to his trademark, 'bendy' and 'twisty' illegal tendencies.

Yeah, I agree, and Tex Cobb didn't get enough credit for his masterful defensive ability.

You can say whatever you want about Floyd, he's a great boxer, great defense, etc. but for the life of me can't see ANYONE saying how Floyd gets after guys. I've seen way too many times where Floyd does just enough to win even while fans are leaving, booing, throwing shit, etc. because Floyd does the EXACT opposite of what you're trying to sell here.

BS! He's no boxing genius. He f*cking lost to DLH and Castillo and all he's done is fight little guys and bring them up out of their weight class to fight him. F*ck him! Boxing genius my ass!
Oscar in his prime would absolutely maul and murder this faggot f*ck.
