Would Tyson lose? Probably, but at least we would have something interesting to watch in the HW division.

Actually, while I was watching Chambers come close with that RH counter over the jab, I was just wondering whether Wlad would even get past 6 rounds against prime Tyson, who regarded his RH as his best punch, & who's head movement, & ability to get close against rangy fighters was extraordinary.

Don't forget that when Tyson was coming up, Holmes was champ, & I'm sure that Cus, when developing Mike's style mentally had a rangy opponent who fought tall behind the jab in mind.

    Tyson by early-mid K.O.

Never seen Tyson beat a guy as big as Wlad. 6'6, 240lbs+
He's fought guys in the 6'5 range but those guys were like 220lbs or so and not as well built as Wlad nor as strong behind the jab. Woulda been a fun fight. Tyson's got his shot. Although he sucked in the clinch.

A young Tyson woulda smoked that chinless pussy w/no problem. Viatli would have a better shot with a prime Mike then Wlad.

IF TYSON TRAINED AS HARD AS HE COULD HIS STYLE IS PERFECT TO GET INSIDE ON WLAD IF HE STILL HAS ANYTING LEFT. DOES HE HAVE ANYTHING LEFT, PROBABLY NOT, BUT HE HAD THE ABILIY TO DESTROY A PASSIVE FIGHTER LIKE WLAD IN HIS PRIME. i DON'T THINK HE CARES TO FIGHT ANYMORE. LOOK AT THE MCBRIDE FIGHT FOR EXAMPLE.

You must really, really, really hate Tyson if you want to see this fight.

Five years ago, he couldn't even beat Kevin McBride.

exactly, I think prime Tyson smokes Wlad, but right now it's a massacre, shit even 10 years ago, he would have had no more than a puncher chance.

You seem confused. The heartless pussy fag is Wlad not Tyson. Get it right.

Right. Mike Cryson would have been beaten into bloody mess by Wlad. He would eat right cross after another and his reaching shots wouldn't land enough. The only exciting moment of the fight would be whether or not Tyson could keep his faggy lips off of Wlad afterwards or would he go kissing him lustfully the way he did against Lewis, another man who made him cry

Awww come on,.. it's just a group therapy thread,.. let them heal the best way that they can,.. by exhuming hero's of the past because there's nothing to put the boogy men 'in thier place' at present, it's natural, when there are no friends, you make the friends up, you compartmentalize given stress triggers and escape into a rich fantasy world.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Tyson wasn't the guy who got KTFO in 4 rds by a 1 dimesional puncher who was over the hill, barely in shape and had one foot in retirement. That was your boy who wouldn't last 6 rds with some of the comp that was fighting in Tyson's time.

Let's get real here, Wlad is nothing more than a decent heavyweight who's beating decent heavyweights. The difference between him and everyone he's beating is his height and reach. If all things were equal he'd have lost to one or more of those guys. At least Vitali has the toughness to go with his skills. I'm no Tyson groupie, but I do respect what he did and how he did it.

:bears::doh: brilliant. And if Mike Tyson's speed and power had been equal to his opponents, he would have never become the champion at all.

Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit. Wlad, with his new style, is doing that remarkably well. Not everybody likes to watch it, but that is what boxing is all about

Lib four Lib,............................. seriously,.. how many times does one have to ask,.. where are these other big heavyweights???.. "He only wins because of his height and reach!" ,... bring on the 6"6 + heavyweights,... where are they?.. where are the fellow heavyweights who unfairly beat up all the smallies with thier key height and reaches,..?

Why the hell would anyone be interested in seeing Mike Tyson returning to a boxing ring?

The guy is finished. He's been finished for years. Move on already.

no no, as said before, if Tyson gets Kevin Rooney to his trainer and finds his head movement back, he can still be the champion

Exactly. There was a time for me when it was "Must See T.V." when Tyson got his ass kicked, but now even I can't see a reason to subject the guy to yet more punishment. How about we let him stay safely retired and try to get on with his life?

Could Tyson be the next JJ Jeffries? An old, tired, rapidly aging man dragged back for one last crack at glory, to satisfy the urges of an insecure America?

Mike is perfectly happy with his new pigeon related reality show thats coming out. I hope Mikes show has sucess as its pretty obvious to everyone he is through as a boxer.

Besides, Wlads not cocky enough to threaten the mans pigeons so I see no chance in the fight ever being made.

Mike is, I'm sure, feeling old he has trained hard for a lot of years at heavyweight. He started early and I'm sure the guy is in some pain from his hard life. Mike is through with boxing IMHO unless he gets REALLY strapped for cash. He's definitely no Ali.

See that's the difference, Mike often fought guys taller and longer than him. Put Wlad in that situation and even let him keep his power and speed and I'll bet he doesn't dominate or win all the time. All I'm saying is Mike was special, Wlad is not.

Sure Wlad can use his height and reach and peck his way to a decision. Just don't be surprised that he isn't popular. Don't be surprised that his boring domination isn't getting him any accolades or bringing the sport back to the limelight. And most of all don't be surprised that nobody wants to watch it.

Even Lennox Lewis occasionally came out of his shell and gave us some nice exciting fights and reminded us what a devastating offensive force he could be for more than 1 rd in a fight. Yes boxing is about hitting and not getting hit, but it's also about taking chances. If a guy wants to be an extraordinary fighter he has to go the extra mile, it's not going to just fall in his lap by him doing just enough to get by.

I don't really follow your logic with Wlad and Tyson comparison. Fighters are born with several attributes, be it speed, power, height, reach, whatever. The best fighter is the one who wins most, not the one who wins most despite being short-armed, stupid or whatever.

And Wlad is not popular? Name me the last heavyweight champion who has sold out 50,000+ football stadium with two regular title defenses and absolutely shitty undercards. If that is not being popular, I don't know what is.

As I wrote in the other thread, American MTV generation wants to see flashy knockouts, short fights, movie-like characters and American heroes, and thus it is obvious Wlad is never going to sell there. Tough luck. Boxing experts, who can see through the likings of masses, will understand his worth eventually

America needs to get it's head out of it's ass.

It is not the be-all and end-all of world issues anymore, if in fact it ever was.

Of course. Cause Mike couldnt do what Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders, and LAME-on Brewster did. And what Spam Peter nearly did.

You Klit groupies are jokes! Wladimira is too weak, both mentally and chin wise to have beaten a prime, or even a remotely close to prime Tyson.

Of course. Cause Wlad couldn't win two rounds more than a weak midget James Tillis did by keeping his distance against Tyson.

Wlad is a different fighter now than he was five years ago. Is that enough to beat prime Tyson, nobody knows for sure. But to treat it as a complete mismatch while Tyson struggled with clearly worse guys and to do it in angry manner no less, is indeed silly and a sign of insecurity
