Utter bullshit. The Hopkins - Taylor fights could have gone either way, Joe lost the first 3 rounds to Hopkins, including a knockdown, and won the rest.

Taylor was also coming off a win over Lacy, but for some reason, since getting KO'd by Pavlik, Jermain hasn't looked quite the same. Despite looking kind of OK against Pavlik in the RE he was very cautious, he beat Lacy but come on, Lacy, and he was looking OK-ish against Frock too, not shot. He looked shopworn in all those fights though, all 3 of them, and looked almost shot against Arabham.

Like I said, it was a good win, and to be honest Frock's wins over Pascal and Taylor made me a fan of him.

He's not the most talented or skilled guy, but he is tough, and just has FUCK loads of determination, you have to respect a guy like that. He won those fights through sheer determination.

But he is not a better fighter than Joe, nor is his record better, that's just the truth.

By the way I also much prefer his fight anyone attitude too, I was a Calzaghe hater for years because of his reluctance to challenge himself.

 

I can understand Taylor - Hopkins 2,.. going either way,...

But Taylor - Hopkins 1,.....Mex please, :nono: ,.. Hopkins gets 4 rounds AT BEST...

 

I think this is the hardest reason to give Hopkins any credit in the Joe Cal fight. Please pardon the pun.



Even poor Sugar Ray was shocked by it...and he was involved in some slimy split-decs in his own pomp.
