Yep, failed CAT scan. They're sending him to a specialist but they supposedly don't have time to do a second one and get it reviewed in time for the bout. The fight might get moved to another card.

 

Ben Saunders will replace Alves. Not a bad replacement at the last minute.

 

Sucks, but yes, Saunders is a really nice last minute replacement.

 

Not bad. At least Saunders was already in fight shape. He was also probably training wrestling for Ellenburger anyway.

 

Funny enough, Ellenberger still gets paid, and gets the win bonus without having to step in the cage. Still, they should try to book this guy to a nearby card.

 

I was looking forward to it. I hope that it isn't anything serious for Alves.

I maybe the only UFC fan on earth that is more excited to see Saunders than Alves.

Saunders became the first guy to stop my boy Marcus Davis and now it's time for a little Jon Fitch payback.

I love this match up.

 

I definately think Saunders will make it a good fight. His Muay Thai has been looking really good lately.

 

Excluding his TUF match against Joe Stevenson from elbow strikes while pinned down.

 

You know what I mean.

 

he also lost on a cut to M.Guillard and lost by submission early in his career. He was also stopped once in his pro boxing career.
