Imagine that..we have this long, extended, controversial Super 6 tournament, which finally caps a winner, and then Calzaghe comes out of retirement and absolutely beat the shit out of the winner. How fucking stupid would everyone feel then.....:: ::All that nut and time and effort and then it disappears like a fart in the wind in the space of 12 rounds....:: and then Joe OD's with his da backstage. Beautiful.

 

It´s still just one win, but it will never happen. The tournament winner will likely go 4-1 or 5-0 and unify the WBA/WBC belts. He will be on top of the world, the greatest SMW of all-time, so he would dictate the terms to the inferior Joe Calzaghe, which Calzaghe couldn´t accept. Yeah that´s the reality, all it takes is five fights to shit on Zaghe´s whole 168 pound resume, which consists of Kessler, Eubank, Reid and a shitload of mediocre fighters, that wouldn´t have won a single fight in this tournament. ::

If Lacy was where he was 5 years ago.....in terms of his career, he would be in this tournament and MANY PEOPLE would have him earmarked to win it.

 

What is suppoed to happen? Lacy has proven to be utterly mediocre before and after the Calzaghe fight. Everbody knew Lacy was mediocre, when he barely outpointed Omar Sheika and needed to come from behind against Syd Vanderpool. Obviously Calzaghe gave him the proper beating to take away his confidence and physicality and now Lacy was stripped down to his raw skills. Those are barely good enough to register wins against Mendoza and Tsypko, but not enough for him to win a round against a faded Taylor and a shot Roy Jones.
