Na don't buy that at all, sorry. David Haye is hardly an "uncle Tom" but he is huge over here, undeservedly so when you consider he hasn't fought a Klitschko and barely beat one of the worst heavyweight champions that ever existed
Well i wasn't talking about your NF buddies, per se, I was referring to the general English population. Big dumb black man that is not in touch with his roots would be expected to be with some white Essex girl....:kidcool:
Nah..Calzaghe would have need only to be ENGLISH: Pasty, indigenous, beer guzzling English and he would have been a national hero.
Yes but he has a white slut tucked away in Cyprus, but she is not aware of the absolute reaming Adams arse gets when him and David are....."working on a plan in the gym":hump::hump:
Times have changed. Obama is president. Will Smith is the world's highest paid Actor. the Williams' sisters have dominated women's tennis. Tiger woods has dominated golf. "Half-Cast" man is the top Grand prix dude. List goes on. I'm talking about the 80s and early 90s.
Well you sure as fuck aint talking about 2010. Lewis Hamilton is a DICKHEAD anyways....or hadn't you heard.......:dunno::dunno: Hamilton is way off the pace this season, lost his championship last season...with one of the worst defences ever. As for Will Shmiff......he had to wait for the greats to get old and pack it in......
Well I was born in '84, so maybe times have changed, but I haven't noticed a racist element to any dislike of a particular fighter in recent years anyway
I don't look at whether a Boxer is black or white to appreciate them! If they have certain boxing qualities (even in any other sports) that I like then I become a fan of them and do not take notice of skin colour etc etc.
nobody respect him cause he represent what's wrong with boxing. Overprotected guy who fought bum most of the times cause he was so afraid to lose. (Even tought he should have lost to Robin Reid). The fact that he only fought Jones and Hopkins (and nearly got beat by both) while they were waaaaay past theyr prime is a testament of his cowardice.
I've always just hated his ugly style. So sloppy.....kind of annoys me that he was so effective with it too.
By the way, like all white British men, I am a HUGE Bruno fan because he's big, black, and stupid, just the way I like them. I like to keep the black man down, and not let them get above their station.
I could see the effectiveness of Calzaghe's style,.. he had excellent stamina,..and part of his plan was to not waste energy with committed punches,.. but just keep touching his opponent to put them on the defensive, drain thier energy, and mix in some harder stuff,..he was a great fighter, but just like any other fighter, he had off nights with style conflicts,.. Out of all fights I've seen of his, he only ever fought like a bitch in one of them,.. against Sakio Bika,.. that night he took a page out of the much loved Bernard Hopkins text book,.. and threw one looping pot-shot while ducking below belt level with the momentum, then he held on.
Because he is an arrogant cunt, who is out of touch with reality. Danny Green showed the world what a real impressive showing against a washed-up shot Roy Jones looks like. And he didn´t masturbate all over himself for the last four rounds of the fight, because THERE WERE NO FOUR ROUNDS.
Calzaghe is bland and boring with a completely unappealing style. I never cared about this guy nor followed his career. The only times I watched his fights were basically to see his opponents (Lacy, Jones, Hopkins, Kessler).
I can understand hating him for being a self absorbed cocky arrogant egotistical prick,.... however if the poster who happens to be stating that as thier real reason for the hate, but is a fan of someone like Hopkins or Fraud or Toney or Roy or a fuck load of American favourites.... well then,... that can't really be the reason can it?.... thought that egotistical shit was much celebrated 'charisma' anyway?..
calzaghe was a terrific fighter. he certainly wasted his time fighting bums during his prime, but he sure made up for it towards the end of his career beating lacy and kessler. i dont care what folks have to say about lacy and kessler NOW, but back then, they were unbeaten and folks were tabbing both to beat calzaghe anyhow. his win over eubank was pretty decent too. up to that point, no one had whupped eubank in that thorough fashion. granted, he was also past his prime, but no worse than the versions of hopkins or jones he fought. the only reason why haters hate on him is because he won two fights (vs. lacy and kessler) that he was supposed to lose and he also beat old shot fighters but earned a lot of $ in the process. didn't some of you clowns on this board actually picked roy to beat him based on styles? on top of it all, he retired unbeaten. haha.
:: You may jest now..but in the 80s/90s that's exactly how it was in Britain...and how it was in the States, up to that point.
Precisely. Doesn't matter what people want to say about Lacy and Kessler now...but before Joe fought either people were acting like those guys were going to beat him...and they were undefeated at the time.
Calzaghe is unknown everywhere other than the little sh*t hole called Britain where all those poor assh*les adore their loser athletes. Calzaghe never transcended the sport because he was a boring motherf*cker and the only way to even watch his fights in Canada or the States was through an online stream since he was too boring and bland and unknown to receive any tv coverage. The only time he did receive coverage was when he fought Lacy, Hopkins and Jones. And it's obvious he wasn't the reason those fights got air-time. Calzaghe was sh*t! The worst and most boring boxer ever. Watching him fight is like reading Sly's posts. Predictable boring crap!
