A Jones win will do nothing for his legacy. It'll just mean B-Hop got old, since if Jones cant even last a round with that Australian guy whos name I cant even remember he clearly cant beat anyone good.

INcorrect, it's because I was a true fan that I'm THAT disgusted by what he did in that fight. He should have retired gracefully after the first tarver loss ...either that or ACTUALLY TRY TO GET REVENGE and spare his fans (like me) the embarrassment of showing a chicken nature by quitting after 5 rounds and just stinking it out to survive the distance. He chickened out against Calzaghe too. I'd tell the motherfucker the same thing to his face!

    :shit: back at ya

There's Only Sooooooo Much "Fight" Left in ANYBODY, Particularly a Former Great Waaaaaaaaaay PAST His Prime...Roy was like 37 Years Old in the Condom Match w/Tarver...U're ENTITLED to B a FAIRWEATHER, BACKSTABBING, Fence JUMPING, TURNCOAT, SELLOUT Motherfucker...Just B HONEST about the Shit...

That's All REED is Trying to Say...

    You'd still be a fan.

If the current, shot Morales fought Pacquiao and did nothing but try to survive for 12 rounds, I would be very disappointed at the cowardly performance, especially for someone who was such a pure warrior in their prime, but would it stop me being a fan and turn against him and call him a coward? Fuck no.

Roy just didn't have it anymore.

Ali didn't quit. His corner retired him. And Chavez gave it his all and then was spent. Same with Morales against pacman.

Roy Jones simply didn't try to win the fight..the motherfucker.

Dude...a man can be a true fan and be disgusted by later behaviour. YTou've never had a friend who's fallen out of favour with you? Does this mean that you were never a true friend?

I'm still a fan of Jones prime skills and talents..but his behaviour of late has been annoying to me

Anyway REED..I'm not going to go back and forth with you on this. You're my boy and I hate black on black crime!

You seem offended that a Roy jones fan could turn around and call him a coward based upon his actions over the last few years and I understand that. Unfortunately I cannot mask my annoyance when someone I've admired shows a repulsive side to their nature.

I don't like fighters who are just content to last the distance and willingly give up the fight just to not be KOED ...even if it's a fighter of whom I've always been a fan. As Someone once said...a true champion DARES to be great.

I know REED. While Roy was fighting for a living in the most brutal and violent sport know to man, Sly was trying to score in a gay bar. Sly's a clown sometimes with his comments. Who the hell on here has the right to call a pro fighter who's been fighting since his teens a coward? And to his face?
    Come on sly! Silly boy!

Pfft! You went silent when Buddy Rydell was in your face when you guys met up. Now you think you're gonna try and f*ck with Roy Jones Jr in person? You fraud!
If Roy was in your face, you'd be buying him drinks even if you couldn't pay the tab.

Yeah, and you're free to state your opinion. But there's a fine line between hating somebody and then saying you'd call him a coward to his face. You know you're gonna get called out on it.
REED talked massive sh*t about Sam Peter after the Vitali fight, calling him a fat bastard.
When REED was taking his photo, he sure was smart enough like the rest of us would be to not say things like that to the guy's face.
You can hate privately but you still gotta "Respect" in person!!!!

For me it's kind of weird. I normally have no interest in fights like these.

I used to be a big Roy fan until he took his carreer a little too easy.

I started liking Hopkins later on after that.

But for some reason I am sort of rooting for Roy. Simply because not to long ago Hopkins admitted that he gained nothing by beating Roy at this stage and how people wouldn't be interested in this rematch.

this happened on that radio show where they both phoned in a few months ago.

Now the guy wants to charge 50 bucks for some silly revenge. So the fact that he wants to bullshit the public and contradicts himself completely in a matter of months is what I can't respect about the guy.

I won't order this fight but I want to watch it. Hopkins should finish him at some point. But I would love it if Roy could pull it off even by a miracle shot. Just so this whole thing could backfire on Hopkins.

U Persist N SAYING U have NO Axe to Grind w/Roy Jones, yet U REPEATEDLY Give him NOT-SO Subtle "Slights"...

Roy Jones CLEARLY DIDN'T Age as Gracefully as Bernard Hopkins Did...Bernard Hopkins JUST Got a Halfway Decent Win in DECEMBER of '09...& he SCHOOLED Kelly Pavlik in the Fight Before that...

So If Roy Jones BEATS Hopkins (Especially Coming Off of a 1st Round KO LOSS), there's NOfuckingWAY it "Will Do Nothing for his Legacy"...LOTS of Roy Haters CLING to the Belief that Bernard was "Green" when Roy Beat Him...Well, Roy Jones is Now SHOT to SHIT, w/MORE Holes in him than Swish Cheese...So if Roy Somehow BEATS Bernard, there's NO DOUBT that it'll HELP His Legacy...

Yeah, Floyd's been a welterweight for 5 years, and in those five years he's fought one, t..., no wait, just one legit welterweight

That's right, Oscar, the only legit weltweight on Floyd's record in the 5 years he's campaigned at the weight. What a fighter! Really daring to be great isn't he sly!

Get real Sly, Floyd has been taking the path of least resistance for fucking years now, since Castillo actually.

Roy Jones challenged himself more by fighting Ruiz than Floyd has done.

I guess if Roy wins then as far as his legacy goes, he can claim undisputed dominance over Bernard.

That's how I look at this fight. If Roy wins it makes it so NOBODY should rank Hopkins above him. If he losses he was supposed to lose. Not much to gain in this fight for Hopkins but plenty to gain for Jones. I expect Hopkins to win of course.

I want RJJ to win. And I hope we see a little tease of prime Jones in the process. It would be great for him to go out with a solid win.
