In a way, I respect Bernard. He has the same low-tolerance for hype jobs that I do. He showed the world what a mug Pavlik really is. I bet he watches Hayes fights and is impressed by the power and speed but disgusted by the defensive lapses, shoddy conditioning and technical shortcomings.

 

I can see them both in rocking chairs arguing endlessly over who gets to go first in checkers and who gets red or black.

I do not have a problem with your opinion of Haye, but IMO his conditioning is excellent for a heavyweight who makes the makes the fight, leading with the shots.

Now we know Hopkins wasn´t faking. They did a scan and you know Hopkins would rather die than pay for it. ::

 

Hopkins got to his dressing room and feinted when his publicist told him what a pussy everyone thought he was.

 

Hands down, slow to get his hands back, leaping in and leaping out...sloppy, he burns a lot of energy in the Jermaine Taylor fashion, and his mouth is often hanging open, despite throwing very few shots, comparatively speaking. Also,, I see he never finishes on the jab, which could be a fatal flaw....he needs to finish on his left, at the very least it would mean his left was up.
