For some reason I doubt it'll happen in June, but if it does.... GREAT!

Maidana will give Timmy a rougher night then Peterson did, just because he's so strong and relentless. Overall though I like Bradley's speed and skills to be the deciding factor. Plus Bradley isnt a mental midget like Ortiz was.

They'll only want Ortiz if he struggles with Campbell. If he destroys Campbell, they'll duck him too.

Ortiz is mentally soft, but he is quick, powerful, and a southpaw. Three things that make him too dangerous for Con.

Kotelnik isnt a pncher. Maidana is. Freddy Parkinson's knows how to match guys carefully. Hense why he's fighting the lightest punching guy in the sport.

The most hilarious thing in the world would be if it bites them in the ass, and Paulie pulls the upset.

Can we please refrain from even making a joke like this? Guys have built careers on this principle and it makes me sick. Khan will fall. And soon.

Yeah, I saw it..and it was a very close fight. But I had Maidana winning it 7-5. Khan virtually shut out Kotelnik, but he basically shoeshined his way to victory over 12 uneventful rounds. Maidana went to war Kotelnik, had him busted up by the middle rounds and nearly took him out in the 9th and again in another.

Bradley vs Maidana Agreement Reached For June 19, HBO

BoxingScene.com has been advised by several strong sources that an agreement was reached for Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11KOS) to defend his WBO junior welterweight title against Marcos Maidana (28-1, 27KOs), the WBA's interim-champion, on June 19 with HBO televising. The venue is being finalized and should be revealed in the next couple of days.

Bradley was originally scheduled to make his HBO debut against Luis Carlos Abregu in a welterweight contest, and Maidana appeared to be on course for a showdown with WBC champion Devon Alexander in August. Golden Boy Promotions and Bradley's promoter Gary Shaw were unavailable for comment.

    :bears::bears::bears::bears: @ Bradley & Maidana!

June 19th already was gonna be interesting with Green-Ward on Showtime. But HBO has outdone them, cause Bradley-Maidana is a better matchup!

Yep, and it's because Khan isn't interested in facing any punchers. So he's fighting feather fisted Paulie.

Agreed. Credit to HBO and stepping up to make a top fight, instead of some bullshit tuneup.

I also think Bradley should stay at 140.

He's a solid little junior welter, but he'd be undersized at welterweight without a doubt, like Hatton.

I'm not kidding...don't be surprised to see Juan Diaz move to 140 and get a shot at Khoward after Malignaggi.

Diaz is a Golden Shower fighter as well.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. Diaz is somewhat well known and sufficiently light punching.

Diaz is fighting Marquez again on July 10th. And Diaz will get KO'd.... again. After that I think we'll most likely see Baby Cow hang em up. This is a cash out fight for him IMO.

Golden Boy tried to pimp Marquez to Khoward...they'll do the same for Baby Cow.

You don't have to convince me, I agree completely. My guess is Diaz or JMM next.

If Con fights Diaz, after Marquez KO's Diaz again.... it would be disgraceful.

Heres another idea... Katsidis fights Kevin Mitchell the same night that Khan fights Paulie. If Kat wins, I could definitely see him being the next opponent. Kat has no defense, and his chin is dentable. He's perfect for Khan. But then again, Kat has good power, so they might even steer clear of him.

I hope Maidana wins. I like Timmy also, but I'll always have a soft spot for pure punchers. I just suspect Bradley will be too well rounded for Maidana. Maidana does have a chance though, cause Bradley can be hurt.

Xplosive - I agree. I do have a soft spot for punchers. To be honest I'm not a fan of any light punching fighters, they just don't generate excitement for me.

That's why I'm not a fan of little Timmy, even though I do think he is a VERY good fighter.

I'll root for Maidana because he's an aggressive puncher, and I also don't think he's as crude as people make him out to be. I haven't seen his last fight, but against Ortiz, he thought about what he was doing in there, showed good timing and picked his spots. He didn't fight like a retard.

Maidana is the first puncher to capture my affection since the man in your avatar.

As for Bradley, he's not a big puncher by any means, but he hits sharply and with enough force to get guys attention, and hurt them. Esp with that quick sneak right hand of his. But his left hook is pretty weak.

I'll give Khan a pass for this one. Ive been waiting 10 years to see Spaddy's bitch ass get KO'd. It shoulda happened years ago, but the lil pussy avoided Mayweather, Corrales, and Castillo like the plague. I'm hoping Spaddy lands the Alexander fight. I'll enjoy every second of Devon stomping a hole in his ass.

Like Khan, Spaddy's people will very selective in who they fought cause they knew Spaddy had a shit chin.

    Maidana injures back, postpones fight

    Updated: April 13, 2010, 2:17 PM ET

Argentina's power punching Marcos Maidana suffered a back injury, forcing his fight against junior welterweight titleholder Timothy Bradley Jr. to be postponed, Bradley co-promoter Gary Shaw told ESPN.com on Tuesday.

Bradley was scheduled to defend his 140-pound title against Maidana, who holds an interim belt, on June 19 at the Agua Caliente resort in Rancho Mirage, Calif., which is just a few miles from Bradley's hometown of Palm Springs.

"Maidana got hurt and the fight will be postponed for about a month," Shaw said.

Shaw said he spoke to Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Eric Gomez and then to CEO Richard Schaefer, who co-promotes Maidana, on Tuesday, and they told him about the injury.

"They confirmed that Maidana hurt his back but that he still wants the fight, but that he's needs roughly 20 days [off]," Shaw said. "They said he still wanted the fight, otherwise, I could have switched back to [Luis Carlos Abregu]. I will take them at their word that it's Maidana's back and that he still wants to fight Tim."

Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs), 26, had been slated to make his HBO debut against Abregu on June 19 in a nontitle welterweight bout. However, last week, Shaw, Schaefer and HBO put together the more attractive fight against Maidana.

A new date has not been set, Shaw said.

"I've been on the phone with HBO but we need to work with HBO and Agua Caliente to find the right date that works," Shaw said.

Maidana (28-1, 27 KOs), 26, was looking to make a quick ring return after his impressive sixth-round knockout of Victor Cayo on HBO on March 27.

2010 is the year of the injury/postponement.

Thats why I'm trying not to get hyped about ANY fight this year until the final week before it happens.
