I didn't see that series so my judgements are based purely on what we've seen so far this season. He'll push the guys hard and get them in great shape, no doubt about that. That might be enough in this competition, but i don't think - from what i've seen - he's a great coach per se. What he did after the last fight may have impressed some people but as i said, it was all for the cameras, all for Tito....there was no benefit for the fighter, it was patronising and demeaning.
adam - maybe, maybe not. It was perhaps a bit demeaning etc, right after a loss, but maybe he thought that would be the best way to drum it into him. Gatti - how pleased were you that Dick Ring was the first pick?
Most trainer's and coaches I know take a fighter right after a loss like that whether its back in the dressing room or what and show their guy what they did or didn't do to lose the fight. I corner a few local fights, and the coach in our gym always says its the best time to teach because the loss still stings and the information will stick in your mind more. Just a thought I guess..
Do you think he deliberately changed his accent because he was going into a house with 15 other guys and didnt want to be ridiculed 24/7? Can you image Afro dude and his brown posse going to town on him?
I agree, he's my early pick to win it all. He has nice all around skills. I am sure Afro is all flare and no substance. A poor man's Maruiz Zaromskis
Jar, I was going to say, from his fight AND watching him train, it seems like literally all he has is a head kick :: Just avoid his head kick and he should be pretty beatable.
You gotta give Gatti credit he outed Nick Ring in one sentence. :bears: That guy was flaming this episode.
Who were the two queers massaging each other at 3am? One was that homosexual Nick Ring and who was the other one?
I agree, holding a dude against the cage/ground without hitting or sub attempting while absorbing shots 5 to 1 does not win you a fight.
Did anyone catch Dick Ring talking to Afro dude last ep about cheering for guys on your own team, fuck that was funny
yeah it's him. Yager is the man. That little guy was a no hoper though. he reminded me of Ritchie Hightower from the season that Mac Danzig won.
It's been fun. I can see some heated scraps coming up in the next few weeks. I can't believe this is the 11th season. Damn. Speaking of reality shows, whatever happened to that boxing reality show that Oscar hosted? Is it still on the air?
I have to admit I quite like Yager, I don't know why, he's the sort of guy I can't help but like. And despite him being a flamer, I quite like Dick Ring too, he's fucking funny. The scene between those 2 was hilarious, the way they were interacting etc. I'm rooting for either of those two to win. It would be especially funny if Dick Ring won, being such a bender, it would confuse the shit out of the pseudo macho sherdoggers, and the average hillbilly MMA fan ::
Despite his Obvious ASSHOLE TENDENCIES, Yager is Growing on REED a Bit Too...The Thing is, he can B a PRICK, but he's MORE than Willing to Back up that PRICKdom in the Cage... He'll Pull an Asshole Move then DARE U To DO Something about it...REED ASSUmed Yager was just a FRONT RUNNER, but he's Been THE MOST Impressive Guy in the House, Thus Far... Yager's Well Spoken, has a Love-Hate Persona & a MARKETABLE "Look"...If he Shows CONSISTENCY, he Could B a Good FIND for the UFC.... REED:hammert:
