What the fuck are you talking about people get capped on about the way their hair looks all the time. That is something that will never get old homie! Try something else to hate on! I'll Holla 5000
Has Fraud taken a look at his old man's dreads, lately? That's a sorrier sight than Shane's jeri curls.
Jheri Curls... Anyway...his comment was hilarious. I can see though why almost everyone wants Shane to win. Mosley is just such a nice and simple guy. Very likable chap. Floyd comes across as a hood rat. nevertheless for teh good of boxing I hope Floyd wins....and wins impressively. We want May-Pac.
This is the bit which makes me laugh...Floyd's a phony. As much as Floyd hated Oscar for being a phony nice guy, he's exactly the same on the opposite end of the spectrum. All in all... The episode was a waste of time...nothing learned about either fighter. One of these episodes will tie in both father's no doubt. Wouldn't be surprised to see them dig up the footage of Floyd Sr. and Jack at the Mosley-DLH weigh-in where Sr talked shit then Jack picked him up and moved him out of the way. I want to see more of Brother Nazzim. Interesting guy.
Musze, exactly what I was going to say. Sly - you're pretty naive if you really think Floyd seems like a hood rat. He tries desperately to be, but he isn't, and everything is contrived, including his shitty smack talk.
Oh...don't get me wrong...I've said as such in another thread. i guess I should have empressed myself better.. "Floyd comes across as a hoodrat for those who don't know him and are watching 24/7 for the first time because this is the persona that he's creating for himself"
phonetap likes floyd but has grown tired of the "I make the most money" crap he constantly spews. no one gives a shit, fight fans only care to see him fight the best and toughest opponents...
Yep, it wasn't particularly interesting or funny to start with, now it's incredibly overplayed and just boring. In fact Floyd is boring, as boring as Mosley for sure, the difference is - he tries desperately not to be boring, but unless you have some natural wit/charisma/spark etc - you're going to be boring regardless.
do you even know what a hood rat is? you said the man comes across like a ho ass, dick sucking bitch...::...you're going to get your floyd scrotum swinging pass revolked...
You think Floyd is interesting, and has wit and charisma? Really? Floyd is a draw because he's one of the best fighters in the world, undefeated, and publicises himself from the rooftops. That doesn't make him interesting or charismatic. I also think a large part of his drawing power is how hateable he is.
So was prime Roy Jones...but he wasn't HALF the draw that Floyd is. Obviously Floyd's personality, negative though it may be, is compelling to the masses.
its pretty obvious even to a mosley fan that the guy has the personality of a trisket. if he was more interesting, bold and perhaps clever he wouldve made a shitload more money
Being annoying obviously sells. I think a large part of Floyd's fanbase must be haters too, then there's obviously fans that just appreciate what he does in the ring. And to be honest, being a "bad guy" sells. Floyd plays the bad guy, as contrived as his personality is, and it sells.
You think Floyd is interesting and clever? WTF Neil, seriously. Floyd has the IQ of a fencepost, is pretty inarticulate, behaves like an idiotic child in interviews when asked halfway difficult questions, has nothing interesting to say, ever. He is an excellent fighter, undefeated, and has a contrived "bad guy" persona - which sells, evidently.
And when Roy was in his prime and fighting Ruiz on ppv, Floyd was fighting on free tv in ball rooms. Fraudweather didn't become this big box office sensation until the DLH fight came along. It's where even casual fans, thanks in part to 24/7, began noticing Floyd. It also helps that boxing is dying and that all the stars of the past including Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Oscar, Trinidad, Vargas, etc who were ppv powerhouses have all either retired or nearly retired. When these guys were at their popularity peaks, nobody knew or gave a f*ck about Fraudweather. Floyd and Pacman are basically the only 2 relevant fighters left in the sport of boxing. A large part of what sells with Floyd is his unblemished record. And the fact that most people want to see him get killed. LOL!
you do realize that shane is a multi-millionaire right? that makes him successful by any and all measurable standards in today's society. lets wait 10 years after their careers are over and see where they both stand financially...
Fraud doesn't have any personality either, Neil. Look closely at his press conferences. He's unsure of himself, lacks any kind of wit and has a habit of blinking and looking around the room when people are booing him. Like a stupid kid lacking self-confidence.
Yep. Shane's made millions and has achieved more than most. He went out and fought some of the best fighters in the world back when those fighters were indeed at their best including Oscar De La Hoya(not the semi-retired businessman whom Fraud barely beat), Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright. And Shane fought them without needing to drag them out of their weight classes and fighting them at catch weights. Fraud still hasnt' done jack sh*t in his own weight class. Just picking little guys like Hatton and Marquez to come up and meet him in weight classes which neither one can do sh*t at.::
agREED. Name one boxer who has lived the lifestyle Floyd has and sustained it long past his fighting days. There's a laundry list of athletes who have made and lost more money than Floyd has made...recently we saw stories of Scottie Pippen, Antoine Walker, Evander Holyfield and Derrick Coleman. I don't recall any of those guys walking around with 100,000 in cash and they managed to wind up broke. Let Floyd run his mouth, will make him fighting for money all the more amusing as he ages.
That's not personality on Floyd's behalf. It's stupidity. He's not setting himself up well for his post-boxing career.
Who gives a shit.... The point is that Floyd makes more money than Shane does...purse for purse, PPv for PPV Yes it's possible that Floyd would blow all his money...but that's another matte entirely....
I don't know how people can not like Shane, he (to me) is just a likeable guy, Floyd comes off as an Ahole
I actually care a bit...it would be a nice change of pace to see fighters not end up flat broke at the end of their careers. As much as I hated Leonard he didn't end wind up broke. if anything, outside the ring leonard was closer to the guy Floyd wants everyone to believe he is.
Floyd keeps most of his money in his drawers along with jewelery and other stuff. Remember that video he made where he counted a million dollars which he kept stacked in his night table? He's definitely going to be a broke motherf*cker after he's retired.
:: Looks like my man LOK is now starting to figure out what I'd been saying all along. And LOK was a huge Floyd apologist too. Now he's seen the light! :bears:
