I don't like watching him these days, but his elite lay and pray is highly effective, and I think he's the second best fighter in the world after Fedor.

There is a high chance he would be clean KO'd by Silva standing, but I think GSP has what it takes to grind out a decision over Silva, especially given Silva's monumentally pathetic recent performances.

It's funny that people are still calling Silva the best P4P MMA fighter in the world. When was the last time he looked that good?

I think it's a good fight to make. Silva is talented, but has become an unwatchably negative shit of a fighter, and GSP is simply too dominant in his weightclass, nobody has a chance against him.

Interesting match up. I think Anderson would come in really motivated for this thus GSP could be very well knocked out hard but then again GSP would also be super motivated and his wrestling could be too much. The thing is it's a 5 round fight and every round starts on the feet. I don't think GSP could finish Anderson off therefore Anderson would have plenty of chances to catch GSP with something. Very hard fight to pick. If you put a gun to my head and made me pick I'd say I dunno but if you shot me in the leg first to show me you're serious and it's loaded i would have to pick Anderson by KO2

    Forrest Griffin???...

Sure, Silva's Been CONSISTENTLY Boring These Days, but it Seems to B a Result of BOREDOM More than Anything Else...Quite Simply, Silva's NOT Challenged @ 185...

Recently, GSP has Shown a RELUCTANCE to Move Up, which Tells REED that he DOESN'T Fancy his Chances of BEATING Silva as Much as Others Do...REED Doesn't Fancy GSP's Chances of Moving Up & BEATING Silva Either...

I don't think so REED. Griffin isn't exactly an elite fighter, he's just a workhorse. Rashad took him out impressively too.

I used to think the idea was preposterous of GSP beating Silva, now I'm not so sure, I'm not saying I would pick GSP, but I think he'd have a legit shot. More of a shot than anyone else at 185, and more of a shot than anyone has at beating HIM at his weight.

I find it hard to believe it's just boredom that is responsible for these absurd performances too.

He hasnt moved up because he still isnt sure if he is going to wrestle in the olympics. He said if he does, he will take up to a year off from MMA to train. i dont think he has made the decision.

For Better or Worse, Forrest Griffin is 1 of the UFC's POSTER BOYS...1 of their More MARKETABLE Fighters...& the Fact is, Anderson Silva Arguably WAXED him EASIER than Anybody EVER has...Forrest WASN'T the Least Bit Competitive vs. Silva...

These Days, when Silva Fights Guys that Pose THREATS to him (ie., 205'ers), he's Faaaaaaaaar from Boring...It's Only when he's Facing OVERMATCHED Foes that Silva has Been Boring Lately...

Anderson wins pretty easily but it may go to a decision. GSP's safety first style and Anderson's counter attacking style should make this fight the MMA equivalent of RJJ/Hopkins 2.

Anderson would make a complete mockery of GSP. It's not even competitive.

I'd take GSP....i think he can take Silva down. Despite hus striking superiority, Silva showed a weakness in his stand-up game last week....he doesn't like to lead. He flat out refused to lead vs Maia, a guy with notoriously novice stand-up skills. GSP's stand-up is tight enough not to make the same mistake as Griffin and the like. I also question if Anderson can handle a tough pace over 5 rounds....i think the take-downs become easier for GSP as the fight wears on.

GSP would immediately take him down. This would be a boring fight because GSP would not stand and fight with Silva and I don't think Silva could stop GSP's takedowns.
