Not often that british domestic fights get talked about on here as of late. There would be no reason to single this one out ahead of others...the term 'athlete' hardly befits either of these two.

Reason i have singled it out....are the odds which i've just seen.

John Mcdermott was flat out robbed against Tyson Fury in their first meeting last year. In a 10 round fight, most thought Big Bad John won by about 8 rounds to 2.

So it comes as a surprise that for their May 22nd rematch, Fury is a 5/13 favourite, Mcdermott a 15/8 underdog (bet365 odds). It makes very little sense to me, perhaps whoever compiled the odds merely took a look at the result, ignoring the controversy.

Anyway....it is as close to a sure-fire way of almost doubling your money as you're gonna get, provided Terry O'Connor isn't the man in the middle this time around.

If Fury went and got his arse in shape, proper shape, he would win this handy. Instead, he is a proper fat bastard. As for McDermott, another fat Irish lardarse. I predict FAT KO1 in this fight.

You have to love that irrepressible Irish cunt, Frank Maloney.

He goes on Radio, TV, Internet, fucking particle beams into Outer Space, to complain about the "Stae of the Evvywait Diffision" and then he goes and co-promotes this shite and proudly tells everyone how it will sell out.

Those are shocking odds, McDermott clearly won the first fight. That dude is unlucky, he won both fights with Williams too imo.

 ^ Good form Irishman,.. you sewed up the verticies of the landscape with a bit of that, a crystal clear picture of the play, and all of her characters within, a syllabus of the festivities in hand.

[IMG] I caught a glimpse of your thread in TAA aswell,.. thank you evil twin.

Everyone makes money under me...it's why the Absentee Landlord Rydell brought me back. With me as Underboss, nobody get's whacked out without my say so.....

.....as for Fwank Maroney, he talketh utter shite. He is trying to sell McMuffin vs Dyson Dreary {he really sucks} and diss Wlad at the same time?

I think Frank may not have yet recovered from that unfortunate incident last year.....

He couldn´t get the decision, when he "won" the first time around, so what makes you think he´ll get it this time, although in running it´s a worth play. I think I laid McDermott to win at 20-1 after the 9th round in the first fight.

Yes, the plan regarding last night was to die a martyr of character assassination, but it appears I was rescued, the underwheels of the administration may have worked in collaboration with you down here with the rest of us in the rank and file. I know I have a few solid allies in Godfather and Sir Steven in the moderating department, even though they appear to live within a stone skip across the pond in the TAA forum, we grew up in the same clan, Boxingtime,... I would have badly missed this place, just like you did,...but it would have been a neccessary sacrifice, in the short term, I would have fought for the right, to call myself a rednecked honkey chickenshit cracker motherfucker, which was something I wasn't allowed to do last night, but in the broader term, a freedom of expression amongst receptive friends is worth fighting for, as I cannot live under the dark 'no tolerance' "knock it off!" period that 'Son of Payton' played a critical role in during one of Fightbeat's most saddening bygone eras.

There was a reasonable sized furore after the first fight, so I wouldn't be surprised if Fury has to score a KO to win second time around. All the close rounds are VERY likely to be given to McDermott this time around.

    I know, I know.

I'm not saying I agree with what went on or is likely to go on. For what it is worth, I though the first first was closer than most subsequently went on about it. The 'robbery' was exaccerbated by the referee's scorecard, which was just madly out of line.

You and I both know that any close rounds will go Big John's way this time. It is the nature of these things.

No, you are correct. Evander Holyfield called it "the Boomerang"....he felt he deserved the verdict in the second Lewis fight, but because of the perception that Lewis had been robbed in the first fight, he got the decision in the rematch, despite being 2nd best for large parts.

I just think Maloney should shut his mouth about the "State of the Evvyweights" until he himself has some decent cards going which are administered in a half-decent fashion.

Neither of McDermott or Fury were in the shape becoming of heavyweights champions, even if it was just for the English title. Yet Maloney finds the time and space to criticize other cards.

In the meantime, he has said that Haye doesn't need to fight either Kliitschko.:bangh::bangh:

Normally I would agree, but if we did that, we would never have had the pleasure of seeing this...

Dick Turpin wore a mask. Maybe Frank Moroney should wear heels.
