He talks about how elusive he is, and how he might jab and move to beat Kessler etc, and how fast he is ::

How can Frock have come as far as he has in the sport and not even know his own strengths? Frock is bizarre.

 

LOL, agreed. Froch is a strong, tough come forward brawler. He's basically a highly pretentious Henry Cooper. But such are modern times, it seems. Hairdressers are 'hair technicians', fast food vendors are 'sandwich artists' and Carl Froch gets convinced he's a deft, elusive tactician.

 

He's always full of shit,.. I remember for months and months he said it would be a 'toe to toe war cause Kessler is a proud warrior who will fight me!" ,.. now look at this?.. "It wont be a war, it'll be a tactical fight, might even be a 12 round borefest" ,...

Froch is the most unintentionally funny fighter in the sport today

 

Kessler is gonna get in that ass no matter how Froch tries to fight. But seeing him try to outbox Kessler would be comical. He'd basically be pissing away his only chance to win.

The closer the fight nears... the more confident I become that Kessler will win.

 

I'm picking Froch to pull off the upset but I agree with you, if he tries to outbox Kessler he will get battered, hopefully it's just the typical pre-fight Frollocks from Carl.

 

Froch is acting pretty confidident, and invisible for a man who lost his last fight.

 

I may be a dumb silly rednecked whitebred cracker chump,.. but I've lost all confidence in Kessler,.. I'm suprised at how unadaptable and one dimensional he is,.. yet, he never lost a round up until he fought Calzaghe and it wasn't all scrubs he faced either, he was one half of a unified division. It pains me to say it, but I think the derranged nottingham farmer, fresh from ripping up his carpets and banging his pots, will produce enough aggression for the victory.

Like fuck he lost that fight. He was the champion, he landed more punches, and was the aggressor 100% of the fight. Dirrell ran and flopped that fight up the wall.

That's not how you win fights, running, flopping, and landing the odd counterpunch.

Froch was agressive but didn't really land much. He certainly didn't land more than Dirrell.

 

He did land more than Dirrell. Dirrell landed some cleaner/more significant punches, but Frock was landing, even they weren't landing that clean, they still scored points.

To be honest neither of them landed much, because Dirrell was more interested in running and flopping than fighting, but Frock still landed more punches than vice versa.

 

Love the Froch. Not mad he got the decision over Dirrell either. Andre may have won on points but I walked away thinking he didn't deserve the win.

You fight in your first championship fight, in the other guy's backyard, both guys undefeated, part of a high profile tournament, and you fucking run and flop for 12 rounds?

Fuck that, that's not how you win a fight, and that's not how you beat a champ.

I still thought Frock won it though to be honest, before the decision was announced. Dirrell landed some nice counter shots, but Frock was chasing him around the ring landing more shots, even if they weren't as clean.

I used to hate the Fighting Farmer but he won me over since the Pascale fight.

 

I hope Kessler wins. Partially because for some odd reason, Froch annoys me, but also it'd make the tournament closer.

 

Froch is merely displaying the same disease that Haye is.

"I will knock him out. I don't need to knock him out. I will knock him out. I don't need to win this fight. I don't need this fight. I will knock him out, if we ever fight".

 

Froch landed on air all night. He still won about 5 rounds because Dirrell ran and fought kind of pathetically. Regardless, Dirrell should have gotten the decision if you score a fight correctly.

 

So you got emotional watching the fight, big deal, Froch still lost.

 

froch is an awkward guy to fight. i think he's pretty decent actually and wouldnt surprise me all that much if he were to beat kessler.

 

He is as, somebody once said...."an open book" for Kessler's right hand.

Froch is a tough mother and a good fighter but there are glaring shortcomings, especially re. his guard/head movement.

 

Anyone banging the drum in favour of Dirrell in the fight against Froch should take a long, hard look at what they are trying to support. A fighter who came into a title fight and elected, for ninty-odd percent of the time, not do everything he could to prevent a fight breaking out.

I don't give a fuck how sloppy Froch looked or was- at least he tried to start a fucking fight in there. Dirrell threw himself to the floor every time Froch came near him (at least four times as I recall) and only bothered opening up in round ten, by which time he had lost round after round by running away.

Dirrell's performance was a DISGRACE and he got what he deserved.

I've said for YEARS that Froch is tailor made, stylistically, for Kessler. He's a sort of better version of Andrade and that turned out very badly for Librado...

However, I'm not sure that version of Kessler exists any more. He took a real shellacking from Ward and he looked a shell of the fighter who tore through the division before meeting Calzaghe.

This is a 50-50 fight in every sense of the word. If the old Kessler turns up, Froch will get his head jabbed off. The question is whether or not that Kessler can turn up, because if he doesn't, Froch might just discourage him and stop him late.

i never thought THAT highly of kessler. he looked excellent when pitted against mediocre opposition, but really, who has he beaten and who has looked great against?

i do agree that he should be favored against the robotic froch, but by no means is he a lock to win. imo, he hasn't shown anything since the calzaghe loss and certainly not enough to warrant that he should be a significant favorite over any top 5 guys at 168.

kessler is also a question mark at this point. he looked like absolute shit against the untested andre ward and no one's exactly sure whether it was ward's talent or kessler's decline that attributed to its result. i think it was a bit of both and it should not come as a shock what so ever should froch some how wins this.

 

I wasn't emotional, I was disgusted. I'm not a particularly emotional person to be honest.

It was one of the most disgraceful performances I've ever seen in a world championship fight. In fact it was THE most disgraceful performance I've seen since Junior "The Shitter" Witter's display against Zab.

No fucking way was that a winning performance.

 

At least he was fucking throwing. What was Dirrell doing? The only clean punches I saw Dirrell land, or even throw, were late in the fight when he actually stopped running so much and started fighting, even buzzing Frock.
